If you have traveled with us before, you know that we are committed to sustainable and responsible travel. As we begin to rediscover the world in 2021, our commitment to make travel matter has never been stronger. With close to ten percent of the world’s economy supported by travel and tourism, the pandemic has had a terrible impact on communities around the world that serve travelers. As we start to travel, this year and in the years to come, together, we will play a crucial role in helping heal and rebuild these communities by supporting local businesses through our foundation, TreadRight. Learn more at treadright.org. While the pandemic has caused immense financial pressure for travel and hospitality companies, with some unfortunately going out of business, TTC’s financial position is secure. Security Security is a major concern to all of us and the situa tion globally is constantly changing. Events around the world, coupled with the “Travel Advisories” put out by various gov ernments, may at times necessitate changes to the accommo dations and itinerary or even trip cancellation. You must accept these risks involved in travel to any country that may experi ence security difficulties and accept responsibility for your own travel decisions. You are urged to consult with government sources, including the United States Department of State, CDC and news sources prior to making your travel plans. Travel Insurance All guests are required to have travel insur ance that includes trip interruption, trip delay, medical expense coverage and evacuation protection covering all applicable dates of travel with GET. This insurance must cover trip inter ruption, trip delay, emergency evacuation and medical ex penses resulting from illness related to a pandemic event, such as COVID-19. Further, the insurance must include coverage for a medically-imposed quarantine such as a result of a guest in the group contracting COVID-19 while traveling with GET. See GETours.com/travel-insurance for requirements. COVID-19 An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the World Health Organization, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. We ask that you please take personal responsibility for your wellbeing. This begins with packing any personal protective equipment and sanitizers you require. Please adopt physical distancing and hygiene practices throughout your pre-trip travel arrangements and follow all health instruction whether physical signage or requests from our professional staff once you are vacationing with us. In choosing to travel Grand European Travel and any of its associated brands, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
