FROM THE GRAND CHEF DE GARE I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. Please keep in mind and assist others who may need help during both the pandemic and this unprecedented weather we are having. My photo as Grand Chef de Train is a reminder that I have been wearing 2 hats this year. My apologies for my being so direct about membership but we did a great job last year and dues are already several weeks delinquent as the cutoff date was Dec 31st. We are doing better and although several are at or near goal, we still have a way to go to make and exceed 100%. Kerrville is doing an outstanding job with their 121%! Keep up the good work!
ON-LINE TRAINING SCHEDULED The idea of providing training on-line that has floated around for some time is now here! It is new and may not be the best, but we will improve as we go along! Since we cannot meet as we have in the past and many of our members cannot travel to events, we will try to provide access to events and also provide training to anyone in Grand du Texas who wishes to participate! Grand Chefs Passe Renny Keagle and David Knutson will coordinate some training classes for members to learn about the following topics: Part 1: Every Voyager Militaire should know! How to hold a Promenade and Rituals! Part 2: Officer Duties and Membership Renewals! Forty and Eight Programs and Reports!
Help is here! I would like to announce I have appointed Voyageur Al Banzer, Voiture 175, Austin, as our Grand Chef de Train. Please give him your full support and cooperation.
All Grand du Texas Voyageurs Militaire (NEW and OLD) are welcome and encouraged to check it out! The training will last approximately 1 hour each session. Planned Training Dates:
Voiture 175 has announced that the Spring Cheminot in March will be the LAST Annual Pilgrimage hosted by Austin Voiture 175. We will address the details at Merci Boxcar so I hope we will get a good turn out! God Bless!
Sat: Feb 27th – 1200 & 1800 – Part 1 Sun: Feb 28th – 1200 & 1800 – Part 2 Sat: March 6th – 1200 & 1800 – Part 1 Sun: March 7th – 1200 & 1800 – Part 2
John Rodgers Grand Chef de Gare
