Grand du Texas hosts Central States Promenade 2017 Over 50 visitors came from Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Colorado and Iowa to join the group of 30 from Texas for the 2017 Central States Promenade. The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Austin was outstanding with their facilities and service! A handful of Dames of Texas worked very hard and rose over $2,700 from the various raffle and fund-raisers. That effort made all the difference in covering costs associated with hosting the event resulting in an overall profit of approximately $1,500 which will be split between Central States and the Grand du Texas. Texas Voyageurs and Dames all worked to make this event very successful. I cannot thank them enough for their assistance and support. Salute to the following: RAFFLES / HOSPITALITY ROOM FOOD: Thanks to Dames: Madame President Annemarie Murphy, Karen Brady, Myra Chevalier, Miriam Givens, Mary McAnally, Polly Mix, and Kathy Wheeler.
