How many times have you gone to a driving range to practice and when you go to hit balls, it is hard to find “nice” turf to hit off of? Often you will probably see divots scattered everywhere and not making it very easy to practice off of quality turf. When you hit balls on a range, please be considerate to the turf as well as other golfers. Please keep your divots in patterns to maximize the use of the turf and to allow the damaged turf to heal quickly. Please remember that the practice balls and baskets are to stay at the practice area and are not to be taken to other ranges or saved to hit at a later time. This way everyone can enjoy the use of the practice facilities.
Below is a picture of what 30 divots looks like when done differently.
