The Granite Falls South Golf Course Renovation is complete! The $1,147,000 project was a result of several years of planning and working with our Golf Course Arhcitect, Golf Advisory Committee and Long Range Golf Sub Committee along with the United States Golf Association. The project included… n New Greens with Mini Verde grass that will not be overseeded in the future n Enlarged #1 and #15 green n Reduction of some fairway bunkers (about 39,429 square feet) n New high quality bunker sand/liners/ drainage in the greenside bunkers n Reduction/removel of some greenside bunkers (about 16,825 square feet) n Added a new tee box in front of the current red tees n Improved and adjusted some locations of the current orange tees n Installed over 1,100 new irrigation heads and swingjoints n Leveled off part of the driving range to allow for more hitting space n Changed out the practice bunker on

Granite Falls North to allow golfers to practice with the new sand

The key to the success of this large project was working closely with our contractor and meeting regularly to make sure that every item was on track and being done correctly. I would also like to thank key staff members (pictured) that worked endlessly to help make sure that this project was a success. Each team member brings a special skillset that helped make this project happen on time and on budget.

I am really excited about the outcome of this project and know that the golfers will enjoy the changes too.
