We know money is important to people, so here’s some advice and information to help you plan your finances. If you are 24 or over you may qualify for the new 24+ Advanced Learning Loan

02

■■

If you are 24 or over you may qualify for the new 24+ Advanced Learning Loan which could make starting College even easier for you. You can apply for this from 1 April for courses starting 1 August 2013 and onwards to help with your tuition fees.

■■

Most learners aged 24 and over, studying at Level 3 and above, will qualify for these new loans from the UK government.

■■

It is easy to apply. Your household income is not taken into account and there is no credit check. You will not have to pay the loan back until your income is over £21,000 a year. For more information please contact our Student Finance Officer Jo Bowman on 01476 400281.

Finance Reduce your Fees Part-Time courses at Grantham College have always represented great value and there are a variety of ways in which you can reduce the cost of learning even further.

Fee concessions If you are in receipt of certain benefits you may be eligible for FREE or substantially reduced tuition fees on many courses run by the College. Check the list below to see if you are eligible. To take advantage of fee concessions you will need to provide appropriate proof of entitlement when you enrol – the College cannot accept an enrolment without proof being provided. For further details, Freephone the Information, Advice, Guidance & Enrolment team on 0800 0521 577.

Please visit www.grantham.ac.uk/apply to apply online. Places can be limited – so don’t delay or you could miss out!

So you can be sure that the course will be right for you and to allow you to meet the staff, following receipt of the completed application form all potential students are asked to come in for an interview.

Before your enrolment can be processed you will need to pay the appropriate course fees. The tuition fee that you will need to pay is, in many cases, a contribution towards the real cost of providing the course, as many of the courses are subsidised by the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) or Education Funding Agency (EFA), who are our funding partners. The following payment rules apply to all fees:

Fees under £250 Must be paid in full at enrolment.

5.

Credit Cards You can pay your course fees by credit card (no additional fee is payable).

Fees £250 and over Can be paid in instalments (this service has a £15 administration charge). Details are available on request.

Apprenticeships If you are on an Apprenticeship you will need to have your enrolment endorsed by the appropriate agency before it can be accepted.

Sponsored students If your employer is paying your fees you must support your enrolment with a letter from your employer, stating the purchase order number if required.

Apply anytime Apply online or call our Information, Advice, Guidance & Enrolment desk who will send you an application form, or by dropping in to the College to speak to one of our advisers.
