It is an end to end print e-commerce tool managed completely in house. Based on lean principles the system will increase efficiency, eliminate waste and maintain brand integrity.

The CDC Ltd system is an advanced web to print application for the procurement of printed products. It has been designed to allow users with little or no design background to select, edit, proof and send a range of materials to print on-line following a built in approval process designed to meet the needs of each individual Trusts requirements. A price matrix built into the software allows cost management and: • Full transparency on your print and design spend • Eliminates maverick ordering of printed material • Guaranteed contractual savings (typically 20%+ per annum) • Real-time online management information linked into key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) • Greater financial flexibility through reduced overheads – processes and services provided at a fraction of the cost to fund internally • Introduction of a joined up and consistent print procurement strategy across the organisation • Increased use of technology to capture costs in the supply chain and create real world efficiencies The system is supplied free of charge and free from any licensing or maintenance costs. Create Patient Information Literature in 10 Easy Steps

Step 1: Login Enter your username and password here. Your username (usually your email) and password will be generated and emailed to you to activate your account.

Step 2: Create a New Order Click “Create a New Order” and follow the pages as instructed in this presentation. You can also Change your Personal and Security Details.

Step 3: Choose a Product All the products available to your organisation are displayed on this screen. Select the right product for your job and proceed to the next stage. Sample PDFs which display every page option are available to view once you click the PDF icon in the “Sample PDF” column.

Step 4: Select Number Of Pages How many pages? Some products have multiple page options and your choice is to be defined here.

Step 5: Input Publication Name and Date Select a name for your document. The Author’s Name and Leaflet Code are both completed automatically. Publication Date is user defined and represents when the document was last updated. 4

Step 6: Colour Options Some products may have different colour options. A special ‘combination’ colour option can be selected here, to save on printing costs.

Step 7: Select Quantity Select how many documents are required. Only designated amounts will be shown.

Step 8: Input Content Populating your document with content and images is a simple process. First choose your page option from the drop down list on the right. Each editable field (text or image) is outlined in yellow. Click the field to launch a simple text editor or the image browser. The designated options available are displayed in each browser.

Step 9: Review and Submit Click the PDF icon to launch a new window which will display your document as a full PDF proof. This is exactly how your document will look once printed. Images will preview in a low resolution format but the system will substitute these for high resolution at the final stage. Then you can submit for approval, save the document to edit later or discard altogether.

Step 10: Input Delivery Instructions Clarify the delivery details on this screen here. Input the purchase order number, the date due for delivery (no sooner than 3 days) and any additional delivery instructions, and we will do the rest. It’s that easy.
