Patients who have had their biopsies taken at Barrow can ring either of the above telephone numbers to speak to a secretary. You may also be contacted earlier to attend clinic to discuss your results. This will be a call from the bookings office and will be a short notice appointment (to attend within 2 weeks) This is not necessarily bad news, but it means we need to discuss the results and possible further treatment. An integral part of the CDC system is to provide all patient information through a bespoke APP to allow patients, carers and staff to view approved information via smartphone or tablet.

Communications Department

The CDC system will make available relevant patient information through this medium without the need for staff intervention. The APP will be downloadable FREE OF CHARGE from the APP Store and the Android market place. The Gold package will have further functionality including a GEO location finder for all hospital sites, a Friends and Family test feedback digital form and an up to the minute news feed from your existing website. Control will be given to your communications team and a very simple Content Management system will enable your Trust staff to keep the entire package up to date.
