ARUNDEL GALLERY TRAIL 2015 Incorporating the THEATRE TRAIL 15 presented by drip action theatre
Arundel Gallery Trail is now in its 27th year, and has more than 150 artists showing throughout the town and beyond in 63 venues. Many of the exhibitions are in Arundel’s beautiful historic homes and gardens, not normally open to the public. A yellow and red flag made by the local group ‘Sew Not Throw’ marks each venue. We have new and exciting artists showing this year; LOCA have a group exhibition at the Victoria Institute called The Virgin Gallery, and we also have established artists who exhibit regularly on the Trail, making it a must see event in the Arts Calendar. The Gallery Trail is always an exciting and eclectic group of shows, and raises questions and debate over the nature of art; certainly worthwhile investigating your own art adventure. Entry is free, and you can use this brochure and the artists pages on the Gallery Trail website to begin to plan your art journey. The Arundel Gallery Trail 2015 is on Facebook. You can follow us on Twitter and Pinterest to view our archive of the longest running art trail in the world, which has grown and developed since 1989. What makes this event so special is the opportunity to speak to the artists and makers themselves about their inspiration and practice. So much of the work is affordable and is a chance to expand your own collection.
Beermat Competition The Winners revealed! Once again the Gallery Trail is delighted to collaborate with Arundel Brewery.
Frieda Peppercorn Venue 32
Nigel Mason Venue 26
Exhibiting Gallery Trail artists were asked to submit images for the Beermat design Competition. The three winning designs have been printed and distributed to local pubs and hostelries to promote the Festival and the Gallery Trail. There are just 600 printed of each design, and are becoming very collectible! Original Works are on show at the new brewery shop. Quay House, River road. Venue 10.

Arundel Museum Jubilee Room Exhibition An exciting opportunity to view the experimental and artistic community in and around Arundel. This exhibition features the work of artists of all ages from teenagers and college students to the Museum’s own volunteers. It’s a unique opportunity to see the remarkable work of young artists in the area with works from different schools being displayed alongside each other. The display contains paintings, photographs, drawings, collages, digital prints and embroidery revealing a broad cross-section of West Sussex artists. www.arundelmuseum.org 01903 885866

This relaxed and fun experience will include light refreshments. It will incur a small cost depending on length of stay and children over 14 years are welcome to take part. For directions please see brochure map, but in short, we are down Ford Road and just before Ford Station crossing on the right hand side. Look out for balloons as a landmark. Pop in or call us to book.
