All new students wanting to attend a qualification or skills course will need to attend an initial assessment session in order complete a level check in the form of a written test. This is to ensure you get the right course to support your achievement. There will also be information provided about the course. Courses which require an assessment include:

• Employability Courses, including Back to Work courses and Level 1

Education and Training • $ounselling qualifications, including Level  and Level  $ounselling Skills qualifications and Level  6nderstanding Working with 1eople with Mental

Health Needs • #eauty and Hair 2ualifications, including #eauty 5herapy Studies, Hairdressing

Studies, Barbering Studies, Nail Technology and Gel Polish Techniques • English and Maths 2ualifications, including Level  and  'unctional Skills and

GCSE courses • English for Speakers of Other Languages 2ualifications, from 1reEntry ESOL up to Entry 3 ESOL and Level 1 and Level 2 Functional Skills English You will be informed if you need an assessment before you enrol. Please contact Aspire Sussex on 0345 601 0161 to be added to the waiting list. You will then be contacted when dates are available. An annual, non-returnable assessment fee of £15 per course, per student is charged. (Assessments are free for people on means tested benefits. 1lease get in touch for more information).
