If it’s not happening, it’s getting ready to It is July 2019. Can you believe t h a t? Not only is half of the year gone, but we are just six months away for the year 2020! Time sure flies when you are having fun. At your Grapevine Chamber, there is a lot of activity. Even though the summer months tend to slow down, the many committees of this organization are heating up with plans for the rest of the year. The AMP’T Board met recently to plan the next six months of activities for the young professionals in our Chamber. If you have someone in your office who is 21 – 39 years of age, I would encourage you to let them get involved. Their leadership team focuses on professional development through their monthly luncheons, networking through social events and they also give back with various projects through com-
munity organizations that they support. And – they are young enough to have fun at all of it! Our Women’s Division continues with their monthly luncheons as well. They are also getting geared up for the “Elves on the Run” event in December. They will be looking for volunteers, participants and sponsorships. Keep an eye out for details and consider ways that you, your company and your family can get involved. This event helps raise funds for both school supplies and assistance to the elderly in our community – both important causes! For the Past Chairman’s Council, they are focusing on the annual Casino Night set for August 16th. This is first and foremost, just a fun event to bring your staff, family and friends to have a great evening playing games, eating awesome food, meeting new people and winning prizes. The purpose of the event was to raise funds to maintain your Chamber facilities while trying to keep your chamber investment as low as possible. But the result
is a fun evening to just enjoy a night out with friends! Thanks to the businesses who have already stepped up as sponsors. Check out this newsletter for details to get involved! Grapefest is just around the corner. The Chamber staff will be contacting those businesses who took entire shifts last year to confirm their participation. Now is the time for you to work with your staff to see if you can represent your company in the beer booth or trailer September 12th – 15th to possibly fill an entire shift. This is a great way to team build, advertise your business and support the community! That is just an overview of our mid-year review. Doesn’t even include the exciting things happening around your Chamber building as the expansion has begun. I appreciate all of the business partners who are a part of our Chamber and look forward to continuing to serve you for the rest of 2019!

Summer is here and the Women’s Division is gearing up for our largest giving project –
Back to School!
This year we anticipate providing school supplies for just under 1400 students in GCISD ranging from Pre-K to 12th grade. This project allows these students to start school on the same footing as their peers with adequate supplies to have a successful school year. The back to school fair will be held Saturday August 7th. We could not fund this project without the support of our local community! Your sponsorship of the Great Taste of Grapevine and Elves on the Run, allows us to continue our mission and assist these children in need. We thank you!!!

To win, all you have to do is attend the luncheon and hear your name be called! Every representative’s name is included for each chamber member, so everyone has an opportunity - you only have to have your name drawn to be Present to Win!
