Faith Family,

As I look back on 2023-2024, I’m filled with gratitude and excitement about all we’ve achieved at Grapevine Faith. This year, we hit a big milestone our 25th anniversary! That's a quarter-century of partnering with parents in the spiritual formation of children with an undaunted commitment to education infused with a biblical worldview. Our dedicated teachers and coaches have been the key to our success since 1999, creating a culture where academics, athletics, and the arts thrive.

Our students represented GFC well in so many areas academic achievements, sports, arts, and leadership roles. Their passion and energy keep us motivated to reach even higher and dream even bigger Of course, none of this success would be possible without the incredible support from our community Your contributions to the Faith Gives initiative, the Lion Legacy Fund, and the Rooted in Faith Annual Gala have been game-changers, enriching our programs and facilites. We have also made significant strides in enhancing safety and security measures on campus, creating a learning environment where our students can feel safe and secure.

“THEIR(STUDENTS’)PASSIONANDENERGY KEEPUSMOTIVATEDTOREACHEVEN HIGHERANDDREAMEVENBIGGER.”

Looking ahead, we are excited to continue partnering with you as we advance our master plan a vision to steward the property God has blessed us with, ensuring that it serves our community for generations to come

Thank you for being a part of the Faith story. We are deeply grateful for your continued trust and support. Together, we will continue to develop and graduate authentic Christian leaders.

Pressing on,

ADVANCEMENT 2023-2024

OVERVIEW

The past year has been a remarkable one for Advancement With a focus on community engagement, infrastructure enhancement, and strategic development, we have exceeded expectations and achieved significant milestones, including raising $900,000+ in the three GFCS fundraisers, and an additional $2.7 million in other giving. These initiatives benefit our school community both now and in the future.

Faith Gives: We are pleased to report that we exceeded our fundraising goals for Faith Gives This success has enabled us to support the annual Thanksgiving Basket Outreach, enhance our technological capabilities, and further our advancement initiatives

Gala Fundraising Event: The Rooted in Faith Gala was an incredible experience, celebrating our 25th year and featuring inspiring interviews with Faith alumni and founders The event successfully raised funds that enabled us to make much-needed flooring renovations on both campuses.

Lion Legacy Fund: Coupled with the Safety and Security Fund, the Lion Legacy Year-End Appeal allowed us to significantly enhance campus security by adding non-scalable perimeter fencing around both campuses, ensuring a safer environment for our students and staff.

Baseball Field Opening: We celebrated the long-awaited opening of our baseball field, a major milestone for our athletic program This development, alongside additional improvements to the Creative Arts Center, reflects our commitment to providing diverse opportunities for student growth

Strategic Planning: This year, we embarked on strategic planning for the next phase of campus development. This initiative will guide our efforts to ensure our facilities and programs continue to meet the evolving needs of the Faith family while stewarding the property God has blessed us with.

The achievements of 2023-2024 wouldn’t have been possible without your generosity and partnership in advancing the mission of Grapevine Faith. Last year‘s efforts strengthened our foundation for future growth and success Through the dedication of donors, alumni, staff, and the wider community, we have made substantial progress in enhancing the educational environment and opportunities for our students We look forward to building on this momentum and continuing to advance our mission in the years ahead

FIRMFOUNDATION

CLASSOF2008GRADSGRATEFUL FORTHEFAITHDIFFERENCE

In the fall of 2007, the Grapevine Faith football team made a run for the State Championship after winning the District Championship. These days, former players from the team, GFCS Class of 2008, still visit their home football field – this time to watch their children

“We had one of those full circle moments in the fall when my daughter Emery was in the army of cheerleaders and Brent’s son Thatcher was on the flag football team,” Brandon Brooks, Class of 2008, said at the 2024 Rooted in Faith Gala at the Gaylord Texan in March.

Brooks and Class of 2008 graduates Brent Reeder, Weston Clegg, and Brock Jameson were speaking at the Annual Gala. Fifteen years after graduating, the four classmates are still friends.

“I know that if I were to call, they would drop everything on the spot, and I think that not only does Grapevine Faith exist to graduate authentic Christian leaders, but I've seen it with class after class, authentic relationships and friendships that stand the test of time,” Brooks said.

The four were part of a small class of 57 that occupied what’s now the elementary and junior high campus at Worth Street Reeder told Gala attendees their time at Faith was marked by athletics, classes and, for three weeks during their senior year, taking care of a dog between class periods (“My parents never knew, and it was absolutely ridiculous,” Reeder said.) But more importantly, their years at Faith also gave them a foundation for their faith and models of Christian men in coaches and teachers, Jameson said.

“Day after day they just poured into me and if I can go back in time, if I could just soak up 10 percent of what they just poured into our lives while we were sweating, tired at the end of practice, and we’re looking at the head coach, and he's just pouring wisdom into our lives about not just football, but how to be a husband, how to be a father, how to be a Christian man

“IT’SJUSTAN UNBELIEVABLE EXPERIENCETHATI ATTRIBUTETOWHOIAM ASAMANTODAY.”

Reeder told Gala attendees he spent his fair share of time in Dr Smith’s office, but that Dr Smith and other teachers continued to encourage him

This fall, Reeder’s son Thatcher started 2nd grade at Faith, Brooks’ daughter entered 2nd grade while her brother, Baker, started his first year at Faith in Kindergarten, and Clegg’s oldest daughter, Landry, began her first year at Faith in Pre-K.

“It’s a crazy world out there, and I'm pumped that my kids get to be loved on and they get to build friendships at Faith,” Clegg said “We get to let that blessing compound for our kids, and that's pretty special”

The 2024 GFCS “Rooted in Faith” Gala celebrated 25 years of Grapevine Faith, recognizing the school’s founders, Faith parents, and alumni.
