The 9th Bombardment Group was not a part of Walker Air Force Base, but their contributions to the war effort in WW1 and WW2 were amazing and deserve to be recognized. This publication briefly describes and illustrates the origin, training, and combat performance of the Veteran 9th Bombardment Group as a B-29 Unit of the Army Air Forces in the war against the Japanese Empire in WW2.
