Goodwin Community Health announces Pediatrician Pam Udomprasert, MD, will begin practicing at Goodwin Community Health in Somersworth in mid-June. Before joining the community health center, she was with Rochester Pediatric Associates. Dr. Udomprasert has almost 20 years of experience working in primary care pediatrics and inpatient medicine, including attending deliveries and caring for newborns in the hospital. A graduate of SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, she completed her pediatric residency at University of Connecticut. Dr. Udomprasert is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Nick has made the Dean’s List every semester throughout his college career and intends on graduating in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Maria Fellows of Concord, NH recently earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southern NH University. She will be pursuing her master’s degree this coming fall. This is her second year interning with the firm, Bryce Hill of Conway, NH, is a junior at Boston University. He is projected to graduate with Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2025. In school, Bryce is a member of the running club and the Tri-Alpha Honor Society, and he is currently on the Questrom School of Business Dean’s List. Olivia Pendergast of Meredith, NH, is a student at Plymouth State University, her projected graduation date is May 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and with minors in economics and data analytics, respectively. She has been named to the Dean’s List every semester so far, and she also serves on the Student Business Advisory Council.

The Monarch School of New England is proud to announce the establishment of the James P. Carolan Endowment Fund. This fund is the first of its kind for the organization. James (Jim) Carolan served for over ten years on the Monarch School of New England’s Board of Directors, and for many of those years as President. Carolan passed away in 2017, shortly after the opening of the school’s high school / vocational center campus. Victims Inc. is in desperate need for volunteers for the upcoming Fourth of July yard sale (6/30-7/4). Details on what type of help we need:

•We need help loading the U-HAUL Friday (6/30) at 4:15pm.

•The truck needs to be unloaded, tables set up Saturday (7/1) morning, starting at 7am.

•People to cashier, organize, & help shoppers, etc.

•We open at 8am each day and close about 7pm.

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital announced that for the second straight year, Wentworth-Douglass Hospital has awarded a $10,000 community benefit grant to the Alliance for Community Transportation (ACT), a group that provides community transportation, largely for seniors and adults with disabilities, in Southeastern New Hampshire. Wentworth-Douglass awarded the same grant in 2022, which allows ACT to access an additional $40,000 in federal funds. ACT’s lead agency and fiscal sponsor is the Cooperative Alliance for Seacoast Transportation (COAST), but its work is primarily funded by Federal Transit Administration funds that are passed through the NH Department of Transportation. The Chamber is Seeking Second Chance Prizes!

Those attending our 2023 “Hula and Moola” Chamber Raffle Bash” will enjoy a fun-filled evening with many wonderful Second Chance prizes, great food and an exciting reverse raffle! As tickets are drawn in a reverse raffle and no longer eligible for the Grand Prize, they are entered for a chance to win some great Second Chance prizes.
