LET’S PAINT THE CITY BLUE— SEPTEMBER 19 The Paint the City Blue event, which recognizes National Thank a Police Officer Day, is Saturday, September 19, 2020 and is a collaborative effort of the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, Rochester Main Street, Rochester Rotary Club, Holy Rosary Credit Union, Rochester Elks Lodge 1393 and Groen Construction, to show appreciation to the Rochester NH Police Department. As part of the celebration, a Decorating Contest will take place. The contest is open to residences and businesses. Cash prizes are awarded. A panel of judges will travel around the city and determine which residences and which business have the best display. The winners will be announced on September 19th on the Thank a Rochester Cop Facebook page and Thank A Rochester Cop website as well as being notified by phone or e-mail. The Chamber is looking forward to thanking its members this year as part of its annual Operation Thank You. Although we won’t be able to personally greet members in person this year and hand out printed directories, amid the COVID-19 situation, the Chamber’s Ambassador Committee is leading the charge to personally call members over a 3-day period. Operation Thank You is sponsored by First Seacoast Bank and will be held from Wednesday to Friday, October 14-16 2020. Volunteers are being sought to take part in this annual effort to reach out to member businesses and thank them for their support of the Chamber. In addition to helping the Chamber reach all its members, this effort also provides a good opportunity to make connections with businesses. The Chamber will provide volunteers with a list of 10-25 businesses. Volunteers will be provided a few days in which to contact those members on their list. Contact information and information to discuss will also be provided. Our thanks to First Seacoast Bank for their support of this annual event. We hope you will consider being part of this fun effort. Please contact Tanya at the Chamber office at 603-332-5080, x2 or via email at memberservices@rochesternh.org.
