Wine Tasting

Tutored wine tastings held within the vineyard impart a great level of detail about the specific terroir and grape varieties unique to that particular estate which give the wines their distinctive flavour profiles.

Tastings offer a unique experience for both novice and experienced wine enthusiasts alike. Not only do they provide the opportunity to taste some of the best wines England has to offer, but they also allow for a deeper understanding and appreciation of the winemaking process.

During these tastings, guests are guided through a selection of wines by an expert sommelier or winemaker who shares their knowledge on the different varieties, production methods, and tasting notes. This interactive approach allows guests to ask questions and learn more about their personal preferences when it comes to wine.

Vineyard Dining

So much of the pleasure of an English vineyard tour is the opportunity to dine among or close to the vines. Most of our partner vineyards have delightful outdoor dining spaces and some also have beautifully designed interior restaurants.

A common goal of all our partner vineyards is to create delicious dishes using both local and seasonal produce wherever possible.

Our catering options range from the simple to the decidedly decadent and everything in between: Share the joy of a homemade picnic hamper packed with savoury and sweet delights in among the vines along with a glass of English sparkling wine. Dine in a more formal setting on a lunch of sharing plates with a bottle of English wine. Indulge in a full tasting menu with paired English wines accompanying each course.

Sussex Wine Train

One of our most exclusive wine tours on board the famous Bluebell Steam Railway. This historic treasure has featured in various film and TV productions, including the beloved Downton Abbey series. Enjoy a fully immersive vineyard tour and tasting before boarding your private first-class carriage on the steam train for a delicious silver-service dining experience paired brilliantly with English wines.

Alternatively, your group can take a scenic 90-minute ride on board the steam train, accompanied with English sparkling wine, followed by a tour and lunch at a local vineyard.

Brewery Tours

Find out why the UK brewing industry is growing from strength to strength. Your guide will welcome you to the brewery and show you the beer-making process from brewing to bottling. Each of our partner breweries has it’s own unique story, processes and practices. Your guide will then invite you to taste a wide range of brews, dissecting the unique characteristics of each. This is a great tour for any beer lover, or anyone new to beer.

Cheese & Wine Tour

One for the cheese lovers!

Guests visit High Weald Dairy for a very special food and wine tour. High Weald Dairy’s expert cheesemaker and guide will introduce you to all of their delicious cheeses and pair each of them with an English wine. You also have the chance to tour the cheese store and look into the dairy to discover the secrets of the cheese-making process.

E-Biking

Our E-bike experience offers adventure, connection with nature, and a sustainable way to explore the breathtaking landscapes of the South Downs.

Whether you’re an expert rider seeking a challenge or a beginner looking to enjoy the outdoors, electric mountain biking on the South Downs is an unforgettable experience.

A popular option is to take a morning bike ride which ends at one of our specially selected Sussex vineyards where you’ll have the chance to tour the vineyard, taste the finest English wines and enjoy a delicious lunch.

Watersports

Take to the water in the stunning South Downs National Park at beautiful Cuckmere Haven. You can choose to enjoy the tranquil ox bow lake on a stand-up paddle board, or in a canoe or kayak.

A perfect team-building activity, guests can enjoy a range of on-water games which are fun and engaging against the backdrop of the stunning Sussex countryside.

Combine a morning on the water with a visit to a nearby vineyard for a lunch with paired wines followed by a tour and tutored tasting.

Transport

We do all the driving so that you and your guests can relax and enjoy the wines! Our corporate and group tours include transportation by quality executive cars, minibus or coach.

For a unique way to journey through the countryside, consider booking one of our iconic vintage buseseither the 1960's London Red Routemaster bus or the charming 1950s vintage green country bus.

Our tours include full transportation from pick-up and drop-off points of your choosing. We can collect from your office, a hotel, a centralised meeting point, train stations and airports.

These vehicles provide a special way to travel and are sure to be a talking point and photo opportunity for your guests.

Sustainability

We love local! We’re very proud to be a business that promotes and supports lots of local businesses.

Our tours support the growth of our local economy - vineyards, breweries, food producers and transport providers. We employ, and work with suppliers who employ, local people e.g. guides, winemakers, vineyard and hospitality staff.

The wines that you’ll drink are almost exclusively grown, picked and produced at the vineyard so food miles are almost zero. Transport by bus is a more sustainable alternative to taking taxis or cars to rural locations so we encourage groups to travel together by coach or bus wherever possible.

We select suitable vineyards based on their proximity to the collection and drop-off points.
