FRUITS DE MER Fresh seafood from Norfolk and the West Country

August sees the return of our Fruits de Mer platter. A celebration of English seafood, each day we will serve fresh treasure sustainably caught and landed that morning. The platter will include the likes of crab, oysters, langoustine, prawns, mussels and lobster. Clipsham may be 50 miles from the coast, but the sea will feel just a heartbeat away! A Fruits de Mer platter is priced at £21.50

TAPAS ON THE TERRACE It’s back! For lunch in June and July, Monday to Saturday, we’ll be serving Tapas on the Terrace. The Olive Branch Terrace is the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing lunch of delicious sharing dishes. Bringing a little bit of San Sebastián to our corner of Rutland, we’ll be serving chilled gazpacho, calamari, padrón peppers, confit chorizo in cider, garlic & chilli prawns, sea bream with chive & lemon risotto, honey & heather roast pork

belly, chorizo potato croquettes and more. This is followed by a board of pub puddings – churros, ice creams, sorbets, Eton mess & Galician cake. Enjoy Tapas on the Terrace overlooking our garden, or in one of our cosy dining rooms.

It’s a quiet, self-contained space with rustic charm and modern comforts. Part of the pub but well separated from the bar and dining areas, it features stone walls, exposed beams and handmade oak-framed windows, plus underfloor heating and a modern log-burning stove. The Barn is ideal for groups of up to 20 and contains one large dining/boardroom table. For business meetings, a screen, projector and flipchart are available, and there is wi-fi throughout. The small reception area is perfect for pre-dinner drinks or provides a good space for a working buffet lunch. We’ve also added a bar-billiards table and vinyl record deck.
