The wandering albatross (Diomedea exulans) is the largest marine life birds, they have a wingspan that range from 8.23ft to 11.8 ft (3m to 3.5m). They can go years with out landing on dry land. They spend their first six years of life flying, before coming to land to mate. It is capable of travelling more than 10,000 miles (16,093.44km) in a

single journy and circumnavigate the globe in roughly 46 days. They are mainly found on New Zealand's Kaikoura Peninsula, Tasmania's Macquarie Islands, South Africa's Prince Edward Islands, and the Crozet Islands and Kerguelen Islands, both overseas territories of France located in the southern Indian Ocean

the tailing thick legs to return to the spirit below, but once they do form they rapidly fall leaving only small droplets behind. The nose is light and airy there's a very very faint remains of any kind of astringency in the rum. Honey, vanilla, and burnt sugar are first noticed, then along comes the hazelnut lagging behind in the latter whiffs. Ground cinnamon is very light and only existing at the tail end after adding a few chipped ice bits. The taste is completely the other way around. Sweet to say the least, quite obvious from the addition of honey and brown sugar. The onset sip gets flooded with hazelnuts sugar honey, then the vanilla and cinnamon. The mouthfeel is thick and buttery. With ice added I get oak spice that surprised me. Honestly this is more like a spiced rum with hazelnuts added. I can approve of this one. As a pirate that's my perogative of choice. I'm sure that any pirate from the

neat or even over ice is fine with me. I did see one that I'm kinda incorporating into the review it includes this rum and some vanilla Coke. Now I didn't have the vanilla Coke but I do have Coke Classic and that'll do me fine. It is a fine drink just like this. I can't even imagine what the vanilla Coke part would do to the flavor. So the continued Captains Log book will continue on a different rum. I just couldn't see how to incorporate this one into it. So it stands alone in the heart of Dixie landlocked by mountains and foothills. The next review shall include the continued Logbook story, with new characters and some of the old ones. Castings are being held at the port city for new up and coming stars to be held forever in the limelight of cyberspace. So mates, stay safe, stay alert, stay alive, and drink responsibly me hearties. Until the next round, down the hatch.

16 and 1700s would agree with me. I do know that Sugarlands collects jars just for tasting and blending the different parts of the distillation process to create a great spirit for great taste mouthfeel and nose. The drinks listed from their page are a variety of mixers and even other shines that'd they've created. Sipping this one Captain Jameson von Greywolfe

Pirate Society Part I: Pirate “Democracy” Modern, Hollywood renditions of Golden Age Piracy often touts pirates as the harbingers of western democracy to the New World in the Caribbean. Seen as being uniquely egalitarian, championing the unique aspect of allowing Africans and Women to serve alongside that of men, establishing a structure wholly opposite that of the Navies from which most of them came, and defying, with great and dramatic fair, the ideas of Monarchy and an all-powerful, divine rule. However, as with most things surrounding piracy and pirate history, this is a very muddled and embellished overview of pirate conventions. They do, however, carry grains of truth. Pirate affinity for democracy was less likely due to a love for republican values or disdain for rigid naval/monarchical structure

(although this certainly would have factored in) and more a product of necessity. For all intents and purposes, pirate ships did operate as a sort of quasi direct democracy: in regards to affairs of the ship and crew’s well-being, every crew member got a vote. It was the crew that decided when and where to cruise, what ships or nations to attack, if to attack a vessel at all, and when and where to pull into port. The captain only conveyed control of choice during battle, when a firm and steady hand was needed to coordinate victory, and in doling punishments, which themselves would have already been voted on when formulating the ship’s articles (or “code”). This control by the crew was not necessarily a choice on the captain’s part either, as the crew could easily vote in a new captain, one that suited their intentions more. Therefore, every captain

had to balance what was best for the ship, the crew, and himself if he wanted to remain in power. Concepts of larger scale pirate democracy are also muddled. The iconic pirate haven of Nassau, the pinnacle of Pirate power during the Golden Age is often referred to as the “Republic of Nassau” or simply the “Pirate Republic [of Nassau].” In reality, there was no one or collection of rulers over the pirates that operated out of Nassau; each captain operated independently but with council from the major player like Benjamin Hornigold, Edward “Blackbeard” Teach, and a few others. In reality, the Brethren of the Coast (the mostly for show title of the loosely connected group of pirates that operated

out of Nassau) were more of a confederation of semi-independent ships and crews, each using Nassau as a base of operation, rather than seeing it as a Nation to identify with. When Nassau was beset by Woodes Rogers, he was met not with a united pirate front, but rather a fractured population, some willing to accept pardon, and others fleeing for better prospects, unwilling to defend an island that meant little more to them than a place to fence plundered goods. Ultimately, the idea of pirate democracies is rooted in reality. However, the true motives and the means by with those democracies came about are far less heroic or admirable than they are often portrayed.

Born in central South Carolina, Organgburg in 1991, Deanna Jolley was brought into this world. With her day job being a cashier for a hardware store. Outside of the normal world, this is Deanna’s story... Her early years were spent on Tybee Island Georgia or Civil War reenactments, in different locations, but home was Jackson, South Carolina. It was not till her middle school years that the pirates' life came to light for her. A trip to Tybee Island, Georgia. During that time Deanna learned as much as

she could about pirate myths, legends and folklore. Mermaids filled a part of the stories and seemed to always go hand and hand. There is where she got the idea why couldn’t a pirate also be a mermaid? A pirate that could turn into a mermaid, would be able to retrieve treasure that sunk down below the wave of the sea. To top it off there mermaids are mermaids stories from all over the world, she could use to tell stories about. In 2017, Deanna dawned her fins to tackle her mermaid pirate persona. It took her some time getting used

to swimming in a tail. Secret be told, Deana was truly scared of deep water or water she couldn't see the bottom of, just like many of us; not wanting to step off of the unseen drop off. Her first swim was in a lake called Clarks Hill. Now after having a few years of experience, she loves swimming in fresh open water or salt water pools. “Both are easy as long as your smart about it. Safety first when your in your fins.”

and the Emerald Copper, that one is her favorite so far. The half tail is a Mertailor Fantasea 3 fin, currently in the process of getting the skin for it.

At the moment Deanna has two and a half. The two complet tails are from Fun Fin. They are super comfortable, great for beginners and beautiful design. They are the limited edition line, one is the Betta Blast which is red and blue,

Deannna enjoys doing events that have art or children. “I love to tell stories. You don't find it very often off a stage so I try to do it in my tail. It captures the imagination better if a creature of magic is telling it to you.”

An average day is really enjoying the aw expressions she gets when training at the lake. Some Days it happens to be someone's birthday and she enjoys just giving them some magic even if it was by accident.

At the moment she is a lone swimmer. Calling herself the Augusta Mermaid since she lives near the Savannah River. It's easier to find mher on social media. It makes Deanna feel really happy. Always believed in the world of magic growing up. Now she is getting the opportunity to get others to believe in magic and wonder, it truly makes her feel fintastic. If she is not a mermaid that day she is a pirate and inspiring adventure and exploring, in girls empowering the idea that they can be captains too.

Aithnea Rosethor: Captain of the gallon named the Bloodrose. She was gifted a stone from a saved mermaid, from a crew of evil pirates. The magic stone could turn her into a mermaid by choice. The Bloodrose’s crew would hunt rogue/evil pirates. After the target ship was sunk, Aithnea would use the power of the stone to change into a mermaid, gathering the sunken loot to give those in need. Not all treasure is gold and silver, as Aithnea’s treasure are books and loving to share tales with others, above and below the waves. She is the Siren Story Teller and Lore Keeper of the Seas.
