“
Experience Greater Akron: Before, During & After Your Meeting!
In Northeast Ohio, nothing is given. Everything is earned. You work for what you have.”
— LeBron James, Akron native
Visitors and residents delight in the diverse arts, cultural and entertainment options available throughout Akron/Summit County. One can experience a variety of productions, films and concerts at local community and professional theaters. Live entertainment, dance and world-class orchestras provide audiences hours of memorable performances. The Akron Art Museum offers views of nationally and internationally famous modern artists, while other galleries showcase their best works in neighboring communities.
Historically inspired attractions abound in the Greater Akron, too. Sites offer guests a glimpse into the rich history of our area — the homes, monuments and markers built with the wealth achieved from early industrial success. Hale Farm & Village lets visitors experience life as it was during the Civil
War in a Western Reserve town, while Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, the former estate of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company co-founder F.A. Seiberling, transports visitors into the world of an elegant 1920s English Tudorinspired mansion.
Greater Akron’s natural landscape promises incredible views and entrance into areas unseen by those willing to explore and discover. Proud to boast Ohio’s only national park, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, our area is also home to the Summit Metro Parks, with a combined footprint of nearly 50,000 acres. One can also get in touch with nature by visiting the Akron Zoo, transverse the Ohio & Erie Canalway Towpath Trail or hop aboard the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.
And of course, there’s plenty of time to shop, eat and then rest comfortably for a revitalizing night’s sleep. So “Let’s Start Planning” your next meeting in Greater Akron today!
