Warrnambool as a city by the sea provides the perfect place to marvel at the wonder of the Southern Ocean but nature’s canvas offers so much more. From the Hopkins and Merri Rivers to the Botanic Gardens one will never want to be indoors. If that is not enough nature, Warrnambool also provides a fantastic base for exploring the Grampians, 12 Apostles and the Volcanic Lakes and Plains, the closest being Tower Hill Nature Reserve home to many native Australian wildlife including koalas, emus, kangaroos and many species of waterbirds – Tower Hill is 15km from Warrnambool.
