It’s a time for thousands of runners from across the country and around the world to experience Canada’s best marathon destination. Fast and flat, this is the best Boston Qualifier in Canada.
They say not to change your shoes on race day. But if you need a running-friendly sports store, this is your hood. Bushtukah, MEC, Running Room. They’re all here, along with lots of fantastic eating and shopping.
Every year, runners praise the clockwork organization of the Ottawa Marathon. On-course details include water and Gatorade every 3K, gels at 18K and 30K, and sponges just when you need a cool down.
From indie plays at the GCTC in Hintonburg to ballets at the National Arts Centre near the marathon start, there’s plenty in Ottawa for theatre buffs to get excited about.
