Club Spotlight

MAC-HI HIGH SCHOOL MAC-HI HIGH SCHOOL has been doing a great job this summer they’ve volunteering mostly every week in their community and have had fundraising events. Since school ended they’ve made a lot of plans for this summer. They really want to grow their club, Hope i get to interact with them throughout my term more. Keep doing what you're doing because your doing a great job!!!

Meet your New Officers : HERMISTON HIGH SCHOOL

President: Ariana Chavira I would love to be Key Clubs next president because I want to make a difference and provide new ideas. I feel like this would be a great opportunity for all of us to put our efforts together into making our club the best it can be. If we can unite as a club, we can make fundraising and activities fun in order for us to contribute to our community and school.

Vice President: Araceli R0driguez I would love to be able to run for next years Vice President. I would love this opportunity because i have always wanted to be a big part of Key Club and this is a great way to get to know Key Club much more to run for president next year. As a Vice president I would help the president lead Key Club into the right direction. I want nothing but the best for Key Club, pure success for all of our members, and see how close we can come together as a community.

Secretary: Montse Sanchez I chose to be an officer because i want to be involved in the community and have a position to where I can helping out. Also, I wanted to be more that justany other Key Club member. I hope that being a secretary can help me gain some skills and help me grow as a person in this certain position. Finally, I hope that I can make a difference in being a secretary in Key Club.

Treasure: Brian Victorio I believe that I am qualified for the position as an officer in Key Club because I demonstrate many qualities of leader. I am responsible, organized, driven, and I can multitask and balance my time well. Even though I am involved in other clubs, I am willing to take on a role as the treasurer because I feel that taking on this role and hopefully spreading the message to join Key Club to other students can help make positive impact on our school. I want to try to be as involved in the club as possible by becoming an officer. I have the work ethic and the dedication to work with the fellow officers to make the club better for futures to come.

UMATILLA HIGH SCHOOL President: Elizabeth Loera The main reason why I decided to run for Key Club president of my high school was because our Key Club had been lacking community service and outreach. At first I was frightened by the idea of becoming a leader, but after i became president i had the requirements of Kiwanis International. I’m excited what our officers and the club will bring to Umatilla High School this coming 2018-2019 school year.

IRRIGON HIGH SCHOOL Secretary: Emma Mueller I wanted to run for secretary for Key Club because it would be a good experience for future years. Being secretary to me means, that I have to be responsible with my time and helping out in a any way possible. I will need to work on my communication skills and this taking this opportunity, should help me for me future job and life. I really feel I will be a good person to be the secretary because, I am good at organizing and making sure everything is in order and if not then make it work!

Editor: Alyssa Luna I ran for this position because I’m really creative. I’m really good with social media and being the club editor you represent how the club looks. I will make posters and flyers letting all of our fellow Key Clubbers when we will be having meetings. In the process i want to show others that how the club is being presented is a big part of It’s image, and as a sophomore I thought it would look good on my transcripts.

MAC-HI HIGH SCHOOL President: Megan Norton I ran for the President this year because i had done it this past year and I loved it! I want my club to be better than it already is and I believe I can do that! Key Club has become my life and showed me all the potential I have to help people!

Vice President: Kyle Dygert I wanted to run for office to better myself as an ongoing 4 year member of key club, and I wanted to go out with a bang, and to help Key Club sustain after we graduate.

HELIX HIGH SCHOOL President: Annie Wood I ran for president so that our school could continue to get involved with community service. Last year we put on two successful projects; we raised money for Spina Bifida research in the fall and for our local animal shelter in the spring. I believe we plan on doing both of them again next year and I would like to raise even more money this year with those two fundraisers. I’d also like to keep getting the entire Student Body involved so that they get a good taste of community service and then want to do more. I hope that Key Club furthers my own involvement in the community and giving back as well.

Fun Fact !!! Key Club: Hey, do you know when the first Key Club started? Me: no. Key Club; the first key club formed in 1925’s in Sacramento, California, with only 11 charter members !!! Me: REALLY!!! Only 11 member!!! Key Club: Yeah you heard me right, they only had 11 chartered members!. Do you want to know more about KEY CLUB? Me: Yeahh! Tell me more!? Key Club: well if you want to know more go to www.keyclub.org Me: WOW alright thanks!!!
