Slaughter ewes traded mostly 2.00 – 12.00 higher and slaughter bucks traded 1.00 – 10.00 higher. Slaughter kids traded mostly 5.00 to sharply higher. Slaughter nannies were steady and slaughter billies were sharply higher. Trade activity was good and demand was moderate to good. In the sheep supply 39% slaughter lambs, 27% feeder lambs, 34% slaughter ewes and bucks. The goat supply consisted of 82% slaughter kids, 11% slaughter nannies and the balance slaughter billies and wethers. FEDERAL & STATE MARKET NEWS REPORTING Compared to a week ago: Slaughter cows traded mostly steady to 2.00 lower, while slaughter bulls traded 2.00 to 3.00 lower. feeder cattle traded unevenly steady. Trade activity and buyer demand was good. The supply was comprised of approximately 44 percent slaughter cows and bulls and the balance being feeding cows.

Feeder steers were 9.00 to 13.00 higher with instances of sharply higher on steers over 450 lbs. Feeder heifers were mostly 7.00 to 13.00 higher with instances of sharply higher on heifers under 450 lbs. Slaughter cows traded unevenly steady and Slaughter Bulls were 7.00 higher. The supply consisted of 91 percent feeder steers and heifers, 3 percent bred stock, 5 percent slaughter cows and 1 percent slaughter bulls.
