670 head of slaughter cattle sold today at Greeley. Nearly 400 of those were beef cull cows, and the market was $2-3 higher than last week. Demand was weaker in the Holstein slaughter cow market which resulted in prices averaging $3 lower as compared to last week. In all classes of cattle, full cattle were discounted heavily. Commercial quality beef cows averaged in the mid to high $70’s. Beef breakers ranged $58.00-70.00. Utility beef cows ranged $48.50-63.00, lean beef cows averaged in the high $40s to low $50s. Breaker holsteins ranged $51.50-$63.00, utility Holstein slaughter cows ranged $49.50-52.50/cwt and leans in the mid $40s.
