Compared to last week: Slaughter lambs were steady to 10.00 lower. Feeder lambs traded unevenly steady and slaughter ewes were 6.00 – 10.00 higher. In the goats, slaughter kids traded sharply higher, while slaughter nannies/does traded mostly steady to firm. Slaughter bucks/billies were trading unevenly steady and wethers were too thinly traded to compare. Traded activity and demand was good. In the sheep supply 37% slaughter lambs, 18% feeder lambs, 45% slaughter ewes and bucks. The goat supply consisted of 76% slaughter kids, 18% slaughter nannies/does and the balance slaughter billies and wethers. Sheep and lambs sold on a per cwt basis and goats sold on a per head basis unless otherwise noted.

Compared to a week ago, no trend available due to a lack of comparable trades. Trade activity and demand good with demand very good on steers over 750 lbs. Consignments offered today were mostly long weaned 800-900 lb steers and heifers coming off grass. The run consisted of 100 percent feeder cattle. Of the feeder supply, there were 85 percent steers, and 15 percent heifers with 94 percent of the run weighing over 600 lbs.
