On this tour, you will experience the best of both ICELAND and the FAROE ISLANDS. Discover for yourself the same world that the Vikings found as they sailed the North Atlantic Ocean. If you like adventure and to see fantastic nature so amazing that you must experience it first hand in order to believe it – then you are sure to come home full of fresh air and with a mass of tales to tell about the North Atlantic neighbours. ITINERARY DAY 1: Depart Copenhagen and arrive in Iceland. After check in, take a walk around Reykjavík, which is home to the majority of Iceland’s inhabitants and the cultural centre of the country. DAY 2: Full day excursion where you visit Geysir, Gullfoss and Thingvellir National Park. Look forward to an exciting day and discover some of Iceland’s biggest attractions. DAY 3: A day on your own to explore the capital of Reykjavík. Make time to see the Hallgrímskirkja, inspired by Iceland’s volcanic rock formations and is visible from almost everywhere in the town, the top of the tower gives the best view in town. It is possible to purchase additional excursions such as a whale safari or riding an Icelandic horse. DAY 4: Iceland’s beautiful south coast with waterfalls and Jokulsárlón. Another exciting full day excursion, See the iconic waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, Skaftafell National Park and Vatnajokull. DAY 5: Arrive Faroe Islands. After check-in, walk through the old part of Tórshavn. As you wander, you will discover a maze of lanes, alleys and small-tarred houses with white windows and grass roofs. It is a unique place, not just in the Faroes but also in the entire world. DAY 6: Discover colourful villages, memorable views and a chance to meet the locals. An exciting day to the scenic northern part of Eysturoy, to experience some of the Faroes biggest attractions. DAY 7: A day on your own in the charming capital of Tórshavn. At the end of the marina is Østrøm, an exciting shop where you can browse and buy modern Faroese art and handicraft. It is possible to purchase additional excursions. DAY 8: Depart with Atlantic Airways to Copenhagen. PLEASE NOTE: Upon reservation a deposit of Eur 946 | DKK 7.000 is required per person because of airline tickets. Deposit is non refundable. This tour starts in GREENLAND where you will stay in the small town of Ilulissat (Jakobshavn), known for the Icefjord. The glacier, the people and the massive icebergs are an amazing experience. In ICELAND, you will stay in the vibrant city of Reykjavík. Iceland’s nature is intense with a volcanic landscape and hot springs. The capital of Tórshavn will be your home whilst you visit the FAROE ISLANDS. Enjoy a close encounter with the dramatic nature, sheep, birdlife, colourful villages, vertical cliffs and the nearby islands. ITINERARY DAY 1: Departure from Copenhagen to Ilulissat. Already on the approach to Ilulissat, you will see the fantastic ice. DAY 2: With a guide to the mouth of the Ilulissat Icefjord, definitely one of the world’s most beautiful views over the ice. DAY 3: Boat trip through the majestic icebergs in the Icefjord. DAY 4­: Exploring on your own. Additional excursions can be purchased such as, a sailing trip to Rodebay, kayaking or to the active glacier Eqi Sermia, where you can see huge pieces of ice tumbling into the sea. DAY 5: Fly to Iceland. DAY 6: On your own. Additional excursions can be purchased for example: Relax in the Blue Lagoon, an unforgettable opportunity to energize with the forces of nature. DAY 7: The Golden Circle excursion, visit the active Geysir, the waterfall Gullfoss and the National Park Thingvellir. DAY 8: On your own. Additional excursions can be purchased for example: South Iceland and Waterfalls or Whale safari in the North Atlantic. DAY 9: Direct flight to the Faroe Islands. DAY 10: Excursion to the Vestmanna sea cliffs, sailing close to the vertical cliffs and into some grottos. DAY 11: Excursion to Eysturoy visiting the village of Gjógv, known for its unique natural harbour and the distinctive rock formations called the Giant and the Witch, plus Slættaratindur, the highest mountain at 882m. You will also stop in the idyllic village of Saksun. DAY 12: On your own to explore. Additional excursions can be purchased such as, a visit to a local family, car rental or a guided tour including lunch on the island of Nólsoy. DAY 13: Direct flight to Copenhagen.
