FRIDAY: With ferry from Klaksvík to the island of Kalsoy. In Mikladalur we make a stop to see the beautiful sculpture of the Seal Woman by the sea. From there we visit *Trøllanes, a location used and featured in the new 007 James Bond Movie – No Time To Die. On Eysturoy, we visit a sheep farmer and a wool shop before heading back to Tórshavn through the new subsea tunnel. *Add on: Hike to the lighthouse Kallin.

SATURDAY: Day on your own. Optional activity: Excursion to Mykines. Enjoy a magnificent boat trip along the majestic cliffs and see the impressive gannets and puffins.

Optional activity: Walking exploration in the old city quarter in Tórshavn, Tinganes and Reyn.

SUNDAY: Day trip to the historic island of Sandoy, one of the most unspoiled islands where you can still experience the old, Faroese way of life. Experience a church visit, fantastic viewpoints and small villages. We also stop in Kirkjubøur, which is the Faroe Islands’ historical and cultural center.

MONDAY: Day trip in a postcard. First stop will be in the picturesque village of Bøur to enjoy the best view of Tindhólmur and the rocks, Drangarnir. Continue to Gásadalur where you will walk to most photographed waterfall in the Faroes, Múlafossur. On route we pass the, *”Lake above the ocean” and we visit the local church and the war museum.

TUESDAY: First we visit the idyllic village of Saksun. Continue to Tjørnuvík, on route we stop at the waterfall Fossá. From Tjørnuvík you can see the impressive rock formations the Giant and the Witch. Before reaching Gjógv we will have a view of the highest mountain, Slættaratindur (882 m).

DAY 1: Arrival with Atlantic Airways. Pick up your rental car at the airport. We recommend a visit to the small village of Gásadalur. From here, you can walk on the marked nature trails and enjoy the impressive view over Tindhólm and the beautiful waterfall that runs in to the ocean. Spend the night in Vágar.

DAY 2: We recommend going on the two-hour boat trip to Vestmanna sea cliffs. The boat takes you in between the cliffs and in to grottoes. Continue on to the village of Tjørnuvík, surrounded by steep mountains. Here you can see the impressive rock formations the Giant and the Witch. Drive via the bridge to the island of Eysturoy. Spend the night in Eysturoy.

DAY 3: Enjoy the day at the village of Gjógv, which is known for its unique natural harbor.

Here it is possible to hike on your own and enjoy the view of the cliffs and the beautiful valley Ambadalur. Hiking maps are available in Hotel Gjáargarður in Gjógv. Spend the night in Eysturoy.

The Faroe Islands offer unique nature, exciting history and a rich culture. There are birds, sheep, and friendly people. There is a captivating silence, which is only broken by cascading waterfalls and ear deafening surf. Take your senses with you on this self-guided road trip.

DAY 4: From Leirvík you drive through the subsea tunnel to the town of Klaksvík. The tunnel is decorated with lights by the famous Faroese artist Tróndur Patursson. From Klaksvík it is possible to explore the other Northern Islands, each offering dramatic landscapes. The village of Viðareiði, on Viðoy, is definitely is worth a visit. Spend the night in the Northern Islands.

DAY 5: We suggest that you visit the island of Kunoy in the morning. From the tiny village of Kunoy is a beautiful view of the island of Kalsoy.

Above the village is a small cosy park. Back on Eysturoy we recommend driving towards the village of Toftir to drive to Tórshavn through the subsea tunnel with the “Jellyfish” roundabout. Spend the night in Tórshavn.

DAY 6: We recommend visiting the beautiful and green island of Sandoy, also called the Saga-island. The island has a wealth of history and wonderful nature. Take the ferry from the harbor Gamlarætt to the village of Skopun. Do not miss the villages of Dalur and Húsavík

TUESDAY: From Tórshavn sail with the ferry Smyril to the island of Suðuroy. The nature on Suðuroy varies from that further north and is particularly well suited to hiking. In the town of Tvøroyri you can have a look at some of the historic buildings that were used by the Danish Royal Company Store. Spend the night on Suðuroy.

WEDNESDAY: You will be picked up at your overnight accommodation by a driver/guide who will show you around this peculiar island, which has a rich history and unforgettable viewpoints. The travel is determined by wind and weather. Spend the night on Suðuroy.

THURSDAY: Return to Tórshavn. Walk through the old city quarter in Tórshavn, Tinganes. At

the end of this small peninsula are the parliamentary buildings, where the prime minister has his office. Also close is the charming city quarter of Reyn, where you can walk between small houses with grass roofs. Spend the night in Tórshavn.

FRIDAY: From Tórshavn with ferry to the island of Nólsoy. The guide will share stories and show the boat that Rowing Ove, a local hero, used to row alone from the Faroe Islands to the Little Mermaid in Denmark. In the afternoon we suggest a visit to the village of Kirkjubøur, which is the Faroe Islands’ cultural center.

SATURDAY: From the village of Vestmanna we sail to the fantastic Vestmanna sea cliffs where we will sail between dramatic rock formations and through some sea caves. Afterwards drive towards the northern islands, which offer dramatic landscapes. On the island of Viðoy is the islands’ most northerly village, Viðareiði.

SUNDAY: With ferry from Klaksvík to the island of Kalsoy. You can bring your car, or use the local bus service on the island. Make a stop

TUESDAY: Visit some of the adjacent villages, for example Oyndarfjørður to see the Rocking Stones, which according to legend are two enchanted pirate ships that lie rocking calmly.

The yarn store Navia is located in the village of Toftir and has a large selection of Faroese sweaters, yarn, wool, etc. Spend the night in Eysturoy.

The Faroese untamed nature is a paradise for nature lovers and is well suited for a hike in the mountains. Feel the wind in your hair, see colourful villages, grazing sheep, green mountains, fascinating fog and the nearby islands, which rise majestically on the horizon.

In this program, you hike with local guide on old village paths, and have the opportunity to enjoy parts of the trip on your own by car.

SUNDAY: Hiking with guide to the lighthouse on Kallin. With the local ferry from Klaksvík to the island of Kalsoy, popularly called the Recorder. In the village of Trøllanes you will meet the local guide. After approximately an hour’s walk you will get to the lighthouse and be rewarded by an unforgettable panoramic view.

MONDAY: Because of its location, Hvannhagi has some of the most beautiful and unusual nature on Suðuroy. Together with the guide, you follow an old path across the mountain. When you reach the northern side of Suðuroy, you will have an amazing view of the nearby islands. Following a steep, narrow path, you descend to the inland lake at Hvannhagi. DAY 3: From Vágar the tour continues with local busses and ferries via the island of Sandoy to Skúvoy, where the Viking Chieftain Sigmundur Brestisson built the first Christian church and lies buried. DAY 4: Return to Sandoy. Local driver/guide will meet you upon arrival and take you sightseeing around the island. Visit the small villages as you hear the dramatic sagas and stories of the island, inhabited since the Viking Ages.

DAY 2: Saga island Sandoy - Vikings and witches. The island of Sandoy, also called the Saga Island, is a large playground with something for everyone. trolls and Vikings on the island, so there are plenty of exciting stories. Then we suggest a trip to the Nordic House or the Art Museum. Here you can see a wide range of Faroese art, showing how the nature and landscape has been dominant as a motif throughout the history of Faroese art.

SUNDAY: If you have a rental car, we suggest driving to Vestmanna to take the boat tour to the Vestmanna sea cliffs. You will sail through small inlets deep into the heart of grottos formed by the surf over millions of years and sail close to the 700m high vertical cliffs. Drive on to Saksun, a picturesque village where the bay used to be a protected natural harbour, but today the entrance to the bay is blocked up with sand. It is possible to walk out to the sea at low tide. Drive over the bridge that connects Streymoy and Eysturoy via Eiði to Gjógv. This route will give you a view of Slættaratindur (882m) and the impressive sea rock formations known as the Giant and the Witch. Gjógv is known for its distinctive natural harbour and views of Kalsoy Island. At the end of the gorge, it is possible to enjoy the view from Crown Princess Mary’s bench. If you walk up the mountain slope from Gjógv, you will see cliffs and fantastic views.

Join us for the Winter Jazz Festival, which takes place in Tórshavn. Hear groups from the thriving Faroese jazz milieu and other inter­ national musicians. The festival takes place in several exciting venues around the town.

Tórshavn’s Jazz Club is organizing the festival.

Together with the locals celebrate the end of the winter and the beginning of the light seasons. Tórshavn offers live music with Faroese artists, exciting art and light designs, street food inspired by the local food culture, intriguing exhibitions and other fun and different events.

The Faroe Islands Fish Festival takes place in the heart of Tórshavn and aims to highlight the many resources in the sea surrounding the islands. Many different varieties of fish and shellfish are on the menu, including lobster, mackerel, prawns and porbeagle shark, to name but a few. There will be live music from local musicians throughout the day. A fun day for all ages, free of charge.

Grab the opportunity and join the Tórshavn Marathon on the Faroe Islands – a unique running experience in the pure air of a fairytale landscape. Bragdið Athletic Club invites runners from abroad and the Faroes, to take part in the Tórshavn Marathon. In addition to the full Marathon, there is also a Half Marathon race, a 5.5 km and a 2.2 km Health Run.

The Tórshavn Women’s Run is for all women regardless of whether they walk or run, for exercise or fun. It takes place in May or June.

Walk or run the 5 km or 2.5 km distances, together with family, friends and colleagues. A fun event organised by Bragdið Athletic Club and the women’s magazine Kvinna.

Mid July, the international orientated and progressive G! Festival takes over the small village of Syðrugøta and transforms it to one enormous experience. The setting is a wonderful combination of magnificent nature and Faroese hospitality, with concert stages dotted in between the colourful houses. The main stage is situated down on the beach next to the Finnish sauna and the hot pools from where you can admire the view of the tall green mountains.

MONDAY: Arrival with Atlantic Airways. Pick up your rental car at the airport. Before leaving the island of Vágar we recommend a visit to the small villages of Gásadalur and Bø. From here you can enjoy the impressive view over Tind­ hólm. Leave Vágar via the sub-sea and drive towards the bridge crossing the North Atlantic Ocean. Spend the night in Eysturoy.

TUESDAY: We suggest a visit to the Northern Islands. From the village of Leirvík you drive through the sub-sea tunnel to the town of Klaksvík. The tunnel is decorated with lights by the Faroese artist Tróndur Patursson. From the town of Klaksvík you can take a brisk walk to the top of Klakkur where you have an excellent view of the magnificent Kunoyarnes and the town of Klaksvík. If you have the time, it is well worth driving to the village of Kunoy on the island of Kunoy where you have an excellent view of the island of Kalsoy. On your way back to your accommodation visit the village of Fuglafjørður. The harbor is a busy place where a steady traffic of local and foreign boats gives life and color, note the rust-red sculptures and do visit the Arts and Crafts center, Ribarhús & Piddasahandil located in an old historic building (open 15.00–17.30). Spend the night in Eysturoy.

WEDNESDAY: On route to Tórshavn you can visit the small villages of Tjørnuvík and Saksun. Tjørnuvík is surrounded by steep mountains and offers a fantastic view to the impressive rock formations the Giant and the Witch. Saksun is a picturesque village where the bay used to be a protected natural harbor, but today the entrance to the bay is blocked by sand. At low tide you can walk along the sand out to the ocean. Check-in at your accommodation in Tórshavn. Free time to explore Tórshavn, we suggest a walk through the old town of Tórshavn, Tinganes and Reyn with their narrow alleys and charming houses with grass roofs, and relax in the cosy café, Kaffihúsið down by the harbor with the boats in all the colors of the rainbow. At the end of the harbor is Østrom where you can see and buy contemporary Faroese art and fine craft. On the main street you can visit the pleasant old bookstore.

For dinner in the evening we can suggest Restaurant Áarstova and Barbara which both serve local food. Spend the night in Tórshavn.

THURSDAY: Day on your own, but we suggest a visit to the village of Kirkjubøur which is the Faroe Islands’ historical and cultural center.

who for 17 generations have run the farmstead and ecclesiastic site. See the unfinished Magnus Cathedral and the small medieval church of St. Olav. In Tórshavn visit the art museum. The permanent collection hosts of a wide variety of Faroese art and shows how nature and landscape have been the dominant motifs throughout all of Faroese art history.

From there it is not far to the Nordic House which is also worth a visit. If you have time visit also the National Museum that houses discoveries from the ancient Vikings and the famous Kirkjubø chairs that were part of the furnishing of the Magnus Cathedral in Kirkju­ bøur. TUESDAY: Highlights and Storytelling - The villages Saksun, Tjørnuvík and Gjógv. Pick up at your hotel. Sightseeing with bus and guide to the islands of Streymoy and Eysturoy. From Tórshavn we drive via the mountain road to the village Saksun. Saksun lies picturesque in a natural circular amphitheatre high above a tidal lagoon. Saksun has an attractive whitewashed church with a grass roof, often seen in pictures from the Faroe Islands. We continue to Tjørnuvík, but make a photo stop at the waterfall, Fossá, which is the highest waterfall in the Faroe Islands. Tjørnuvík is the northernmost village on Streymoy and is beautifully situated at the bottom of a bay surrounded by mountains and sandy beach. From the village there is a fantastic view of the rock formations Giant and the Witch. Cross the bridge, that connects the islands of Eysturoy and Streymoy and continue to the village of Eiði. WEDNESDAY: City walk in Tórshavn - Explore Tórshavn. Meet the guide at agreed spot downtown. City walk, visit Tinganes and the old part of town, Reyn. On your own visit shop, Østrøm where you can see and buy modern Faroese art and handiwork. Next door is Steinprent, a lithographic workshop and gallery exhibiting their latest works. If your interest is in Faroese music, then make a stop at Tutl. Make sure you have a look in at these shops Marjun Heimá, Ullvøruhúsið and Guðrun&Guðrun who sell knitwear in the latest Faroese fashion. You will also come across the cosy old bookshop that is definitely worth a look inside. GENERAL CONDITIONS ARRANGEMENTS Travel in this program is arranged by GreenGate Incoming in cooperation with local suppliers.

RESERVATIONS Bookings are secured when deposit has been received or with a travel agency guarantee. Client accepts the written conditions of travel with payment of deposit.

DEPOSIT A deposit of 30% of the total price is required per person upon registration unless otherwise stated in connection with the tour in question. If the deposit is not paid within the stated deadline, the agreement will lapse.

FINAL PAYMENT The balance of the packages must be received no later than 7 weeks before departure date, as tickets and travel documents need to be issued. If the package is ordered less than 7 weeks before departure, the payment has to be received within 3 days of confirmation. The above is valid unless otherwise specified for that trip. Tickets and other travel documents will arrive latest 7 days prior to departure.

PRICES The basic price includes the services stated for the destination in question. Any extra charges for special services are also stated for the individual destination.

CHANGES Unless otherwise stated the following applies: More than 30 days before departure: A service fee of EUR 75 per person will be charged for changes to flights and tours on the ground.

Changes at a later time will be considered a cancellation and a new booking.

CANCELLATION Unless otherwise noted, the following applies: - More than 6 weeks before departure, full refund minus deposit.

- Between 6 and 2 weeks before departure, refund of 50% of total price.

- Less than 2 weeks before departure, no refund.

CANCELLATION DUE TO SUDDEN ILLNESS We recommend that you take out a sickness/cancellation insurance from your travel agency to cover the cancellation costs if it proves impossible or extremely difficult to participate in tours due to death or sudden illness/accidents requiring admission to hospital, periods in bed prescribed by a doctor or similar problems involving you or your spouse/partner, parents, parents in-law, children, grandchildren, siblings, grandparents, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law or travelling companions. This protection only applies if a medical report is presented no later than one week after the cancellation. The insurance premium is 3 per cent of the risk (minimum EUR 11 | DKK 81) and must be paid together with the deposit. If you fail to submit a medical report or your cancellation is due to other reasons, the standard cancellation rules apply.

TRAVEL INSURANCE Traveler is responsible for all costs incurred for illness or hospitalization during travel, unless the tour operator can be held responsible. It is therefore highly recommended to secure travel insurance which covers costs due to accident, death, medical treatment, return travel, or loss or damage of luggage.

AIRLINE RESPONSIBILITY Participating airlines take no responsibility for travellers during times when they are not on board their own planes. Concerning checked luggage, we refer to participating airlines’ regulations.

CLIENTS RESPONSIBILITY The client is required to carry a valid passport. The client is required to provide a full and correct name that corresponds with their passport and any other travel documents. Changes

in names after reservations costs EUR 81 | DKK 600. When receiving tickets and travel documents, it is the clients responsibility to review all documents and confirm that all names are correct. The name on the ticket must be the same as your passport, inconsistencies can prohibit you from checking in. The travel agency takes no responsibility for the consequences of receiving incorrect information.

COMPLAINTS AND REIMBURSEMENT Complaints and possible reimbursement should be made directly to GreenGate Incoming so that the issue can be remedied as soon as possible, and with the least inconvenience to the traveler. For complaints and reimbursements after travel, contact GreenGate Incoming as soon as possible and at least with in 2 weeks after return. Documentation is required.

DISCOUNT TICKETS If you wish to take advantage of discount tickets available on the market, and combine these to fashion your trip, they must be issued on separate documents. These tickets often times can not be cancelled, changed, or refunded. This means you assume responsibility if, because of delays, a connection is missed. Neither the travel agency or airlines take any responsibility for costs for additional airline tickets and accommodations.

FLIGHT TIMES ON YOUR ITINERARY AND TICKETS Times shown on tickets and itinerary are always local. After itinerary and flight tickets are issued, changes may be made to arrival and departure times (often from April 1 – November 1 when airlines change their flight times, and also for daylight savings). Please check your flight times in the issued travel documents. Contact your travel agency immediately if times don’t correlate with your original reservation, so possible inconsistence, can be rectified before departure.

CHECK-IN TIME It is recommended, upon arrival at the airport, that you orientate yourself with check-in times. Information from GreenGate Incoming or the airline concerning departure gate and terminals are conditional, not final. There are circumstances when it is necessary to change gates/ terminal. Always check gate/ terminal departure information, particularly during connecting flights.

TAXES AND FEES Some taxes are included with your ticket fare. However, there are occasions when airport or other travel taxes must be paid at departure or on site, which prohibits pre-payment. These taxes will be noted in your itinerary. Some countries have the right to, with little or no notice, apply new taxes or increase existing taxes. These changes may take place between your reservation and departure, or between your departure and return.

PASSPORT, VISAS, VACCINATIONS, ETC. Nordic citizens are not required to carry a passport, visa or vaccination documentation when traveling to the Faroes.

However, it is recommended to bring your passport as ID. If this changes, we will make the information available in the catalogue, or on your confirmation. Other citizens should check requirements for the country of destination. Individuals with multiple citizenry, and groups with people from different countries should make this information available so appropriate guidance can be given. If this information is not provided, the tour provider does not assume responsibility for the consequences for missing travel documentation, etc. Note: there are often requirements for transit visas. Passports outside the EU must be valid for 6 month after your arrival.

THE AGENCYS TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITY GreenGate Incoming are required by law to complete any package listed in their catalogue/ price list The agency takes no responsibility for changes, delays, etc., from breach of contract, strikes, weather, or conditions that the agency has no control over.

CHANGES/CANCELLATIONS The technical organizer has the right to make necessary changes because of low participation. If, because of these changes, the client no longer wants to participate, a refund will be given, but further claims will not be considered. The technical organizer can, with 20 days notice, cancel a planned trip. If it is not possible to find a satisfactory alternative, a refund will be provided. Further claims will not be considered.

PRICE CHANGES AFTER PURCHASE Prices are based on existing fees, tariffs, and exchange rates from 2021. GreenGate Incoming has no control over some price changes that may occur after confirmation. Price changes can occur because of changes in transportation cost like fuel, taxes, fees for services such as airport-, landing-, and departures. Notification of price changes must be made as soon as possible and at the latest, 20 days before departure and must not go above 10% of the advertised price. If these conditions are not kept, the client, at no additional cost, can cancel the trip. It is conditional that cancellation happens after notification of price change. If price goes down, the client will be informed as soon as possible. No adjustment to a lower price will be made within 20 days of departure, and no consideration will be given to claims for refund. If domestic taxes or fees to the state are reduced or removed, and it goes into affect before day of departure, GreenGate Incoming are require by law to reimburse the traveler if the amount is over EUR 14.
