Car rental with airport pick up/do, free mileage and CDW. 2 nights hotel in Eysturoy with breakfast, 1 night hotel in Tórshavn with breakfast and as stated in program. FRIDAY: Direct flight to the Faroe Islands. Pick up rental car. Before leaving the island of Vágoy we suggest a visit to the small village of Gásadalur. In Gásadalur you can walk on the marked nature trail and enjoy the impressive view over Tindhólmur, and see the beautiful waterfall. Leave Vágoy via the sub-sea to tunnel to Streymoy and drive along the coast, through colourful villages. Continue to your accommodations on Eysturoy. SATURDAY: Drive towards the village of Eiði as you take the panoramic route to Gjógv. On route you will see the impressive rock formations, Giant and the Witch and the highest mountain, Slættaratindur at 882m. Take time to enjoy Gjógv, known for its natural harbour, and a must see when visiting the Faroe Islands. Walk around in the magnificent nature and relax on Crown Princess Mary´s bench with breath taking views of the nearby islands. In the afternoon, visit a

private home to enjoy a coffee, cake and a nice chat with your host. Spend the night on Eysturoy. Incl. Visit a private home with coffee and cake SUNDAY: Drive to the capital, Tórshavn and explore the town on your own. Don’t forget to visit the village of Kirkjubøur which is the Faroe Islands’ historical and cultural centre. The picturesque old farm is home to a family who for 17 generations have run the farmstead and ecclesiastic site. See the unfinished Magnus Cathedral and the small medieval church of St.Olav. The evening is at your own leisure. You will find various restaurants and cafés where you can have excellent food. Spend the night in Tórshavn. MONDAY: Rental car is returned at the airport. Continue by car, and drive along the coast and through small colourful villages until you reach the village of Gjógv, known for its picturesque scenery and natural harbour. On route, see the historical stacks, Giant and the Witch, and the highest

mountain in the Faroe Islands, Slættaratindur (882 m). In Gjógv, you have time to walk around in the magnificent nature and relax on Crown Princess Mary´s bench with breathtaking scenery all around you. In the evening you have reservations at Restaurant Áarstova, a little gem located in an old heritage protected building in the heart of Tórshavn. It is a charming place with exposed beams, small doors and odd angles. This place is all about ambiance and great local food. Incl. Visit the old bookstore and the cafe Kaffihúsið down by the harbour. Excursion to the Vestmanna sea cliffs. Via the mountain road to the village Vestmanna where the excursion boat awaits. The boat will take you through narrow sounds, into deep grottoes carved by the surf through ages, and close to the high-rise cliffs. SUNDAY: Day tour to the Saga Island of Sandoy and village of Kirkjubøur. Sandoy is one of the most unspoiled islands where one can still experience the traditional Faroese lifestyle. Experience a church visit, fantastic scenic views and small colourful villages. Before returning to Tórshavn, you will make a stop in Kirkjubøur that is the Faroe Islands’ historical and cultural centre. In Toftir you visit the beautiful Fríðrik church and the shop Navia where it is possible to buy Faroese knitting goods. Tour continues to the windmills á Nesi and then to the village of Gøta. The evening is at your own leisure, but we suggest dinner at Restaurant Áarstova, a little gem located in an old heritage protected building in the heart of Tórshavn.

Incl. Excursion with bus, guide and entre SUNDAY: Sightseeing with bus and guide to the villages of Viðareiði, Klaksvík, Gjógv and Tjørnuvík. From Leirvík you drive through the sub-sea tunnel, decorated by local artist Tróndur Patursson. From Klaksvík you will explore Viðareiði, the northernmost settlement in the Faroe Islands. Tour continues to scenic Gjógv, known for its unique natural harbour. Last stop is in Tjørnuvík to enjoy the view of the rock formations the Giant and the Witch.
