French Way The “Camino Frances” is the most popular route on the Camino. It starts at St-Jean-Pied-de-Port on the French side of the Pyrenees. This route goes through the magnificent cities of Pamplona, Logrono, Burgos and Leon, before entering Galicia, ending in the stunning Santiago de Compostela.

Finisterre Way On reaching Santiago de Compostela, you have the opportunity to continue your experience on the Finisterre Way. This is the only camino that begins in Santiago de Compostela. This route pre-dates Christianity and was believed to be the “end of the world” (Costa da Morte) The pilgrimage finishes at the top of the cliffs of Finisterre, overlooking the Atlantic ocean.

Northern Way The northern way is the route that runs along the northern coast of Spain. It begins in the Basque country from the amazing seaside resort in San Sebastian. The way also passes through Bilbao - home of some of the best tapas in Spain and home to the world famous Guggenheim museum Bilbao, Santander - seaside resort and Grand Casino, and Oviedo – provide great atmosphere, delicious seafood and cider.

Original Way The original way or the Camino Primitivo, got its name as it was the first pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. In the 9th century Pelayo, rediscovered the tomb of St. James. The Camino de Santiago and St. James became de-facto symbols of the “Reconquista” and the oppression of Christians. Today, the Camino Primitivo is the most challenging of all the Camino Ways. It crosses the Cantabzian Mountains, with outstanding views over the Pico de Europa. It gives trekkers an opportunity to push themselves.

Via de la Plata By far the longest Camino, the via de la Plata crosses practically the lenght of Spain, south to North. This way was used by North African Christians on their way to Santiago de Compostela. Travel the Plata and discover Spains untold story; roman cities, magnificient buildings of the Conquistadors and an unspoilt natural landscape.

Portuguese Way The Portuguese way is a good alternative for pilgrims that are looking for a more rural experience on the Camino. It starts in Lisbon – the Portuguese capital and home to many UNESCO sites, passes through Santarem – the Moorish Bastions in Portugal, Coimbra – one of the first Universities, Porto – a UNESCO city and home to portified wine port, and finished in Santiago.

Le Puy Way Le Puy Way, starts in Le Puy-en-Velay, close to Lyon in France. This is our most popular Walk across France. It is a superb hike through the Aubrac plateau national park, Quercy and the Gers – home of the famous Armagnac Brandy. It ends at the foot of the Pyrenees Mountains where you can continue your adventure on the Camino de Santiago.

Vezelay Way The Vezelay Way runs southwest from the small town of Vezelay. Vézelay Abbey hosts the remains of Mary Magdalene and is a major starting point for pilgrims on the Way of St. James to Santiago de Compostela. The route takes you across the foothills of the limousin, the hills and valleys of the Perigord, the large plains of Aquitaine and on to the wooded Landes region. It joins the French Way in St Jean Pied-de-Port.

Cluny Way The Cluny Way begins in Burgundy the vineyard of the world. This route begins in the historical town of Cluny crossing the Beaujolais hills, winding through the countryside along the coast Roannaises, through the Forez Mountains before joining the Puy en Valay through the gorges of the Loire Valley. Via Francigena The Via Francigena is the ancient route to Rome, beginning in Canterbury, England and making its way through France, Switzerland and on into Italy. In medieval times it was an important route for pilgrims heading south. It was designated as a European Cultural Route by the Council of Europe in 1994. The route passes through some fantastic scenery starting out with Kent in England, London the World War 1 Battlefields in Normandy and Champagne in France, the Alps in Swizerland, Abruzzo, Umbria, Tuscany and Lazio in Italy. The majority of the Beauvais walking takes places on off-road tracks and ancient Roman roads. Paris
