ANTI-AGING SMOOTHIE Optional – add one heaped teaspoon of spirulina. This algae, or any green superfood blend you have, will accelerate detoxification. A clean liver means glowing skin.

Kale, 2 big handfuls Spinach, 2 big handfuls Pumpkin seeds, 1 cup Lemon, 1 (peeled) Dates, 4-6, depending on sweet tooth Ice, handful Almond milk, 3 cups Method 1. Put all the ingredients in a blender for 30 seconds 2. Enjoy half now and half later 3. Top with 1 tablespoon of hemp seeds or goji berries for your Instagram shot

The green smoothie recipe that turn backs time. We found out what ingredients make you look younger and then put together a recipe with the strongest nutritional properties. This makes two servings. Enjoy for breakfast and take the second serving to work so you indulge in twice the goodness without any extra effort.

BLUEBERRY PIE Makes two servings.

Kale, 1 big handful Frozen blueberries, 2 cups Cashews, 1 cup Vanilla bean paste, ½ tsp. (1 tsp. vanilla essence) Pitted dates, 4-6, depending on fructose fussiness Coconut water, 3 cups Method 1. Put all the ingredients in a blender for 30 seconds 2. Enjoy half now and half later

Frozen blueberries are in the smoothie hall of fame. They create a creamy texture and contain skin glowing vitamin c plus anti aging antioxidants. This recipe amplifies the nutritional properties with kale, uses cashews for protein and adds a few sugar-free sweeteners so it tastes anything but healthy.

WOLFBERRY ACAI BOWL

Frozen banana, 1 large, cut in 4 pieces Frozen mixed berries, 2 tbsp. Ice, large handful (6 cubes) Acai powder, 1 tbsp. Spinach, 1 handful Goji berries, 1 tbsp. Pitted dates, 2/3 Almond milk, 100-150ml Method 1. Put all the ingredients in a stick blender. 2. Blend for 30 seconds, pushing ice, dates and banana around until texture is creamy 3. Top with any or all of the following – granola, toasted coconut, goji berries, fresh fruit

We take an original acai bowl recipe and crank up the antioxidants. According to the free-radical theory of aging, antioxidants like all the berry varieties in this recipe, will slow oxidisation and free radical damage. That means aging is slowed, particularly degenerative diseases.

PEANUT BUTTER ACAI BOWL

Frozen banana, 1 large, cut in 4 pieces Ice, large handful (6 cubes) Acai powder, 1 tbsp. Peanut butter, 1 tsp. Chocolate vegan protein Powder, ½ scoop Almond milk, 100-150ml Method 1. Put all the ingredients in a stick blender. 2. Blend for 30 seconds, pushing ice and banana around until texture is creamy 3. Top with any or all of the following – granola, toasted coconut, fresh fruit

Our most popular breakfast item. It can’t be described as ‘light’ but the naughty chocolate and peanut butter flavours do have a nutritional purpose. As we discuss on on our website, protein promotes metabolism, less snacking and weight loss. Frozen Acai vs Freeze Dried Powder We prefer the powder. The frozen packs cost more, take up more room in your freezer and some of the frozen packs contain extra ingredients. Buy your antioxidant superfood on its own, in powder form. Equipment Required Any blender can get you started on smoothies. However, you’ll need a stick blender for acai bowls. We recommend the Optimum machines over the Vitamix.
