The Library Board has approved schematic drawings for a new branch library in the Five Forks area at the intersection of Woodruff Road and Sunnydale Drive. The building will sit on the highest point of the library property, with a wall of glass facing Woodruff Rd. Features include an enclosed reading room; a variety of meeting spaces for collaboration, group study and public programs; and a children’s area filled with books and activity zones that encourage learning through play. A Summer 2017 opening is planned.
