Introducing Your Five Forks Branch Library Located at the intersection of Woodruff Road and Sunnydale Drive in the Five Forks area, this newest branch library in the Greenville County Library System is on schedule for a planned opening in mid-late October. The Five Forks Branch is approximately 28,000 square feet—over twice the size of the other branches in the library system— and offers numerous features including a:

• Drive up window for pick-up of materials on hold. • Quiet reading room • Variety of public meeting spaces accommodating a range of activities from small group study to public programs for up to 200 attendees • Large children’s area with centers for active learning and a secured outside “Play Porch” • Separate teen area • Drive-up materials return with immediate check-in and optional receipt.

Another feature is a vending kiosk containing 12 laptops for patron use throughout the building. The kiosk recharges the laptops and automatically installs software updates, freeing staff to spend more time providing one on one assistance to library users. The laptop vending kiosk was purchased with a generous gift from the Friends of the Greenville County Library System.
