After-School
Throughout camp, depending on the weather, campers also take field trips to movie theaters, museums, galleries, parks and neighborhood attractions, including a weekly pool trip. Register for Summer Arts Camp at greenwichhouse.org/afterschool.
Camp Dates: July 3 – August 25, 2016
Our oldest group of campers (13 and 14 year-olds who are in or will be entering high school) have the opportunity to work more independently from the younger campers. Teens work on in-depth art projects, participate in counselor training workshops and begin to learn how to supervise young campers. We aim to encourage maturity and independence in our oldest campers and provide an environment for growth and self-discovery.
Friday Night Fun Weekend Parents deserve a night off, but kids look Workshops forward to a Friday night full of fun! Kids, grades K-5, can enjoy a Friday night at Greenwich House. This class is designed for serious students who want to build their portfolios for admission into specialized high schools and colleges. Traditional drawing and painting skills are taught using still life, landscape and figurative subject matter and perspective drawing skills as well. There will also be opportunities to make experimental and abstract art projects. Sketchbooks are provided to each student to work in both in and out of class. The class finishes by choosing suitable work, matting and labeling it for presentation. Portfolio Building is $400 per student.

Artist Residency
The Greenwich House Pottery Residency and Fellowship program is designed to support an artist’s development. The goal of the program is to open the facility to raise awareness around the importance of creative engagement with ceramics. GHP supports artists and designers by providing time and space in the center of the art world. These opportunities add to the long history of residency programs at the Pottery. The Greenwich House Pottery Residency and Fellowship is partially funded by the Allan Buitekant Fund for Ceramic Art and Inquiry.
The GHP internship program offers high school, college and graduate students short-term work experience in studio operations and arts administration. Internships are available year round.
