Advice From An 8th Grader Coming from an 8th grader, you might think that the advice I’m about to give you might be dumb or immature. You’re most likely wrong. Yes, I’m only going into high school in about seven months, so I don’t know much about life yet, but I can promise you for anyone younger than 15 reading this, you might receive the best and realest advice you might ever hear. So the irst thing I can tell you is to do well in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. DO YOUR BEST!!!!!! I know that if I would’ve tried harder in 6th and 7th grade I could’ve been rewarded with scholarships for the high schools I applied to.

The second thing that I would say is even though you’re going into high school, and you’re in 8th grade it doesn’t mean ANYTHING!!! A thing I’d like to call “senioritis” or “too cool for school” starts to happen. In reality no one is and ever will be “ too cool for school”. “Senioritis” is when you think that just because you’re graduating soon and moving onto the next step you give up on trying to do well. DON’T!

Do your best at everything, and always strive for the best because it only gets harder. The inal piece of advice I have for you, is that there's always an output to every input. Meaning, if you put in hard work, and a positive attitude towards the things you do, there's a higher chance, you’ll achieve what you want, which is the output. By: Anais Molina

The Best Places to Travel By: Anais Molina

Some great vacation ideas that I can recommend are Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and Jamaica. I can recommend Costa Rica, because of the great weather, the beautiful beaches, and how nice the people are. If you choose to go to Costa Rica, I would say a great activity would be zip lining. As you zip line high over the jungle you get to admire the beautiful Costa Rican scenery.

Jamaica is a great place to go to because of the fun events, amazing weather, and awesome food. If you were in Jamaica, two great adventures everyone should do are swimming with the dolphins, and duns river Falls.

Last but not least, Dominican Republic. Dominican Republic is very well known for the beautiful beaches, tasty food, its fun and festive setting, and the friendly people. Somethings you should do in D.R. are horseback riding, going on the dune buggies, and swimming in the caves. These are some great vacation ideas.

A Need For a Change in Society The color of someone’s skin, their nationality or race and the funds someone’s family has, all shouldn’t matter. Regardless of the fact if you’re black, white, Hispanic, rich or poor, they are still a human born with a heart and feelings, and opinions just like everyone else. Everyday and everywhere, hate crimes are committed and racial slurs are said to everyone.

In the society we live in today, if people don’t look “the way they should” they are made fun of constantly or are treated as if they aren’t human. In the society of 2018, women are body shamed, and people are made fun of daily because of how they look and act. As a young girl who’s only 13,theres not much that I can do about it now, but I hope that soon, in the future, I will make a big impact on society.

1) You are stuck in a room with no windows, a piano, a baseball bat, a mirror, a table, and a door that is locked. There are three ways to get out of the room. How do you get out?

2) Twenty white horses climb up a red hill they stomp, they clomp, and they all stand still. What am I?

The Riddles 3) Imagine that you are in a room with absolutely NOTHING, a plain black room. How do you get out?

4) A farmer went to his farm on Friday. He stayed there for three days and came back on Friday. How is that possible?

By: Sienna Maciel

1) You look in the mirror, you see what you saw, you take the saw, you take the saw, you cut the table in half, two halves make a whole, you jump through the hole. You play the piano, get the keys, and open the door. You take the baseball bat, three strikes you’re out.

2) Teeth!

The Answers

3) Stop imagining!

4) The horse’s name was Friday!
