GREENWOOD PARKS FOUNDATION

Created in 2019 to support Greenwood’s Parks & Recreation Department, the Greenwood Parks Foundation strives to preserve, protect and enhance public parks, green spaces and recreational programming throughout the city to improve the quality of life for all residents.

Greenwood’s Parks & Recreation Department currently cares for 14 parks spanning 271 acres, more than 20 miles of linear trails and a variety of high-quality recreational facilities including Freedom Springs Aquatic Center, The Greenwod Fieldhouse, and the Greenwood Community Center, home to Kid City and The Gym. The Foundation’s goal is to help the Parks Department grow, cultivate, expand and improve its facilities and programming to provide all with access to green spaces, outdoor fun and creative programming.
