The passive voice Is a grammatical voice that is common in many languages. The passive is used in a clause whose subject expresses the subject or patient of the main verb. That means that the subject undergoes an action or that has changed of state. A sentence whose subject is marked as a grammatical subject is called passive prayer. On the contrary, a sentence in which the subject has the role of agent is called active prayer, and his verb is expressed in active voice. Many languages have both an active and passive voice; This allows for greater flexibility in the construction of a sentence, since the semantic agent or patient can take the syntactic role role.
