We will cover the necessary skills for you to paddle on classic grade 3 water and perhaps the odd harder rapid if you want it.
4 Star Leader OC1 Are you wanting to lead others? Would you like the very best training to prepare you for an assessment? We can do that for you. We will cover the critical leadership skills and make the link between your personal skills and the requirements of the award. You will leave the course a better leader and paddler with a clear action plan for further improvement. Not sure whether you are ready; try the 3 Star Course above where we can raise your skill level to the necessary standard. make sure your skills are profiled against the requirements of the award so you can best develop towards an assessment. You will leave the course a better advanced water leader and paddler with a clear action plan for further improvement. AWE White Water This is for 5 Star and MWE Award holders. It is also for Old Level 3 Coaches with 5 Star. Our 3 day format training format allows us to explore the syllabus in the necessary depth and will prepare you for the development/assessment phase. Come and take advantage of tutors who are Level 5 coaches and UKCC Level 3 Tutors for a high quality experience.

Canoe Courses Who does canoe courses better than we do? We have a deep seated desire to make you enjoy canoeing more! 3 Star Canoe We will make you a skilled paddler who can control their boat in the wind and on the river. A big goal is to leave with tools to further develop. These will be our first courses to also cover Tandem Skills which from 31st October 2013 will be a necessary part of the syllabus. 25th to 27th January 2014 (4 booked, 2 places available) 9th and 10th June 2013 Are you a level 2 Coach Trainee who needs to bring your skills up for assessment? Perhaps you need some ideas for coaching canoes? Maybe you would like us to link the coaching on the course to your level 2 coaching? We do all that for you as well.
4 Star Leading others in the Moderate Water Environment is a responsibility we respect immensely. We are committed to make you a better leader and paddler in all aspects of the broad canoe syllabus. 5 Star Like 4 Star, we are committed to make you a better leader and paddler in all aspects of the broad canoe syllabus, however this is in the advanced environment where the stakes are much higher. So expect the very best training and a very supportive assessment. These will be our first courses to also cover Tandem Skills which from 31st October 2013 will be a necessary part of the syllabus. If you are an experienced advanced water paddler and/or have already completed a training so you need a refresher before assessment why not combine the two above courses. We have a great success rate using this format.

Safety and Rescue Courses White Water Safety and Rescue Not only are these courses great fun, but they will make a big difference to you and you fellow course participants' ability to make a real difference on the water. Free Coaching As part of our MWE and AWE Courses we can offer you the opportunity to come along as a student for some free coaching. Keep your eyes open for dates either on Facebook or through these network email. Moderate Water Endorsement Students You should be able to paddle your kayak or canoe on grade 2(ish) water Advanced Water Endorsement Canoe Students You should be able to paddle in good force 4/4+ winds if it is Open Water, and/or on grade 2/3 if it is the River. Advanced Water Endorsement White Water Students You should be able to paddle grade 3/4. Technical Advisor Services from Ken Hughes We have a reputation for excellent provision across a wide range of courses and activities. This is particularly true of our Technical Advisor Services. We welcome new clients, just as we continue to support our existing group of providers. “The licensing authority will look for evidence that management of safety is in the hands of, or effectively advised by, one or more competent people with sufficient knowledge of safety matters in relation to the facilities for adventure activities covered by the licence. People who advise on safety matters may be directors, centre managers, instructors, other members of the provider’s staff or consultants; the important thing is that they are competent to give advice.” Adventure Activities Licensing Regulations Rock and Water Activities That demonstration of competence for Rock and Water may include both climbing/steep ground management plus extensive understanding of how white water safety and rescue principles apply. An ideal person for this could be an MIA with BCU WWSR/Advanced WWSR Provider Status. We can provide Technical Advisor Support in the following activities: Rock Climbing Moorland Trekking Rock and Water (Coasteering, Gill Scrambles, Gorge Walks, Adventure Swimming in White Water, River Walking, White Water Tubing) Canoeing Kayaking Improvised Raft Building
