Adopt a band is an active way of designers outreaching musicians. Taking care or the design needs for the adopted band. A self initated brief that allows us to explore social media and other ways of promotion to outreach bands that we would like to work with and develop their idetities.
Develop a brand and an idea for the project. Find ways to promote and reach out bands and musicians. A different approach to the music industry and start-up bands.

Adopt a band project was born out of care and appreciation of music and need to care and nurture bands and musicians. That is why for the logo development I chose holding hands as a starting point, later Suzanne applied the type and vectorised the image to look more
consistant. We wanted a simple but memorable image taht would work on any scale of media. We tried to work with color but decided that a simple black will comunicate and work in many ways and could keep our printing pudget lower.

“Once upon a time in whimsical West Yorkshire, two crazy designers, guided by the quest of creative challenges, decided to reach out to amazing and brave musicians in order to adopt them and take care of their creative conquests, so that we can all have a happy ever after.�
We created a vbery simple website using webflow and made it live. It has links to our facebook, twitter and e-mail adresses. Also my personal website links to Adopt A Band website. The website also sugest to request a pdf that has more details about the project.

MESSAGE TO AUDIANCE.
We created a PDF to explain and share Adopt A Band aims and contions taht we attached to the website as a downloadable. We wrote our does and don’ts as well as the adoption policy and the processwe included clear guidlines of what we offer and what we expect in return.
Our aim is to work with great abnds/musicians and build true relationships. We promise to work hard with our young and lion hearted energy to do the best work we can that would conect and have a meaning. We proise to not only be your design team but your tap on the sholder, your blister after playing, your bass face and motherly care.

LEAFLETS.

Project name Adopt A Band straight away gave a lot of visual ideas for promotional posters and leaflets. We first decided to do the leaflet as it was more feasable and we could have the word out quickly. The first trial went wrong as we didin’t have time in the photography studio. So the first bunch was never distributed.

Second time went better. We raped my bass into a nappy to represent care and make it stand out visualy with a hint of humour. We added our hands quite spontaniouslyreferancing perfection of michelangelo hands. The second photoshoot went really well beacause we have learned from our mistakes.
We waited to produce the leaflets after the website was out. We printed 10 A2 sheets and are planing to ditribute them around Leeds after deadlines as then is when we can take on work from musicians. We wrote a romantic story on the other side and hopping to continue producing more exiting promotional images.

FURTHER DEVELOPMENT.
REACTIONS.
FUTURE PLANS.
Me and Suzanne are now working on a new promotional poster that is a instrument kids mobile. We used the laser-cut process to produce the visual material and set up a small photography studio in the graphics room. Once the poster is finalized we will be distributing the posters and leaflets around Leeds.
Even with a minimal promotion we recieved band replies and intrests. We are hopping to work with more bands trough the summer which will be chalanging regarding the fact taht I will be in Lithuania and we will be working from a distance with Suzanne. Yet again it’s a great chalange and we are looking forward to it.
We both are aiming to develop experiance and a music related portfolio taht will help us start off in the creative industry and pursue careers in this feel. We also want to colaborate and expand the idea of Adopot A Band and transform it to an open platform for both designers and musicians that would anable them to comunicate.
