BACKGROUND.
BRIEF.
DELIVERABLES.
TARGET AUDIENCE.
Lifelong learning is about creating opportunities so that people of any age are not bound for their lifetimes by the decisions and experiences of their past. It means finding different ways of opening up the University, its knowledge and learning opportunities to wider audiences. Lifelong Lowdown is an identity for the new newsletters directed to students.
Joanna Pattison one of the centre employees has asked me to design a logo for the newsletter that would be sent out under the name of The Lifelong Lowdown.

VISUAL HORROR.
TYPOGRAPHY.
I’ve research other news channel designs and I was quite shocked to fin how terrible they were. Even though they were recognizable from even far away. Yet again there was a lot going on in each logo.
I used workmarke.it to choose my font and after a considered evaluation of each marked font I decided to go with Fanklin as it seemed most legible as that was the most important part of this logo.

LOGO DEVELOPMENT.
I send out three possible variations of the logo each with the same concept of communication as a talk bubble as it had to clearly represent news and sharing.

FINAL LOGO.
USE.
CLIENT REACTIONS.
The LIfelong Lowdown final logo was chosen by the client. I made colour variations to go with the logo bringing in bright bold brave and standing out colours to bring some attention.
The logo is currently being used by the Lifelong Learning centre in Leeds University in the newsletter that are being sent out every week.
Joanna Pattison was very glad of the final results and everyone in administration was glad of it as well. As for a one day brief I rank it as success.
