Chasing the sun Is it possible to actually stop time? You can find answer to this question in the Citizen watches’ campaign "Chasing Horizons". Two adventurers, a pilot (Jonathan Nicol) and a photographer (Simon Roberts), attempted to follow sunsets. They captured sun at the same time in different places. Each image was taken around 18:30 local time. In 5 minute movie we can see how they managed to complete this task. More details here.

Windows 10 This is a year of premieres. Recently Apple unveiled a new iPhone, now Microsoft announced a new operating system. The surprising thing is that chronologically this should be Windows 9, but the producers decided to jump ahead to number 10. This is an interesting experiment, by which Microsoft tries to show that it is starting a completely new line of software. Moreover, via the Internet, you can cocreate a new system by pointing out OS mistakes on Windows Insider Program. Introducing new Windows here.
Post-advertising Product placement in a movie is outdated? Time to change it to something new. With a little help from Mirriad. Mirriad is an American company that aims to revolutionize the way we use product placement. Thanks to the special software, they can redo old movies and put a completely new logo inside them. Universal Music Groups is one of the first companies to use this technology and they are going to try in on Avicii’s „Lay Me Down”. Sounds a little creepy, even for us, working in the industry. Flying lamps Cirque de Soleil surprised us this week with an ingenious performance making use of new technology.
In cooperation with Swiss University ETH, they have created extraordinary movie that shares the magic of Disney’s „Fantasia” and „Batteries Not Included”, a movie from the 80’s. Flying quadrocopters dressed in lampshades make for one fine spectacle.
The whole project is a great example of artists-engineers cooperation.
