PROSECUTIONS OVERVIEW Victorian Racing Tribunal

Joshua Moody – VRT Hearing 5 October 2020 – GAR 83(2), failed to present the greyhound “Goofey Express” free of any prohibited substance ‘Salbutamol’ for an event at Cranbourne on 9 March 2020. Mr Moody pleaded ‘Guilty’, The VRT imposed a 6-month suspension, wholly suspended for 12 months. Goofey Express was disqualified from the event. Melissa Forte – VRT Hearing 6 October 2020 – GAR 83(2), GAR 83 (1A), GAR 86(e) and GAR 84A failed to present the greyhound “Here Runs Emilia” free of any prohibited substance ‘Diclofenac’ for events at Sale on 19 September & 6 October 2019. Ms Forte failed to attend the hearing, The VRT imposed 18 months disqualification and a $750 fine. Here Runs Emilia was disqualified from the events. Lui Forte – VRT Hearing 6 October 2020 – GAR 83(1A), failed to present the greyhound “Here Runs Emilia” free of any prohibited substance ‘Diclofenac’ for events at Sale on 19 September & 6 October 2019. Mr Forte pleaded ‘Guilty’, The VRT imposed $750 fine with $500 suspended. Here Runs Emilia was disqualified from the events. Amanda Scott – VRT Hearing 7 October 2020 – GAR 83(2), failed to present the greyhound “Line Seeker” free of any prohibited substance ‘Meloxicam’ for an event at Cranbourne on 27 February 2020. Ms Scott pleaded ‘Guilty’, The VRT imposed $1,500, with $1,000 suspended. Line Seeker was disqualified from the event. Dave Reid – VRT Hearing 7 October 2020 – GAR 83(2), failed to present the greyhound “Franki Jay” free of any prohibited substance ‘Salbutamol’ for an event at The Meadows on 26 February 2020. Mr Reid pleaded ‘Guilty’, The VRT imposed 6 months suspension wholly suspended and a $350 fine. Franki Jay was disqualified from the event. James Theodotou – VRT Hearing 9 October 2020 – GAR 83(2), failed to present the greyhound “Quick Finance” free of any prohibited substances ‘Pholcodine’ & ‘Meloxicam’ for events at Geelong on 6 March 2020 & Warragul on 23 April 2020. Mr Theodotou pleaded ‘Guilty’, The VRT imposed $2,000 fine, with $1000 suspended. Quick Finance was disqualified from the events. Colin Baker – VRT Appeal 15 October 2020 – (GAR) 69(B) (1). The greyhound “Will’s Bella” was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment at Ballarat on 5 October 2020. Mr Baker pleaded ‘Not Guilty’. The VRT dismissed the charge. Jason Formosa – VRT Hearing 16 October 2020 – GAR 83(2), failed to present the greyhound “Hurricane Rose” free of any prohibited substance ‘Theobromine’ for an event at Ballarat on 23 March 2020. Mr Formosa pleaded ‘Guilty’, The VRT imposed 3 months suspension, wholly suspended. Hurricane Rose was disqualified from the event. Robert Palmer – VRT Appeal 20 October 2020 – (GAR) 69(B)(1). The greyhound “Sailing Shoes” was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment at Sandown on 11 October 2020. Mr Palmer pleaded ‘Not Guilty’. The VRT dismissed the appeal. Deidre O’Mara – VRT Hearing 27 October 2020 – GAR 83(2), failed to present the greyhound “Run Maggie Run” free of any prohibited substance ‘Ibuprofen’ for an event at Healesville on 17 April 2020. Ms O’Mara pleaded ‘Guilty’, The VRT imposed a $300 fine. Run Maggie Run was disqualified from the event. Scott Melville – VRT Hearing 28 October 2020 – GAR 83(2), failed to present the greyhound “Shifting Sands” free of any prohibited substance ‘Meloxicam’ for an event at the Meadows on 8 April 2020. Mr Melville pleaded ‘Guilty’, The VRT imposed a $1000 fine with $500 suspended. Shifting Sands was disqualified from the event. James Ennis – VRT Hearing 30 October 2020 – GAR 83(2), failed to present the greyhounds “Mullion Mayor” & “Jim Zarr Dashian” free of any prohibited substance ‘Cimetidine’ for events at Sandown on 2 April 2020 & Ballarat on 15 April 2020. Mr Ennis pleaded ‘Guilty’, The VRT imposed a $500 fine. “Mullion Mayor” & “Jim Zarr Dashian” were disqualified from the events. Craig Trickett – VRT Hearing 2 October 2020 – GAR106(1) (a)& GAR106(1)(c), On 26 June 2019, Mr Trickett was found to not be providing three (3) greyhounds with proper and sufficient food, drink and apparel. Additionally, Mr Trickett failed to provide sanitary kennels which are adequate in size. The VRT imposed a 6-month suspension, wholly suspended
