Dear reader, Can you imagine it? A knitted sweater on the floor as a rug? For two years I have been brooding on this idea. The single cotton laces are of a robust quality because they have been woven with 15 multiple twisted cotton yarns. They are joined in a wide and narrow braid as well as rope. These braids are sown or braided together by hand. A special color coating protects the rugs against dirt and gives them an elegant shine. During the work on my rugs I got the idea to make bags too – a dream of me since many years. I held a little rug sample of 40 x 50 cm in my hand, folded it and immediately could see a clutch. Surprising, the braided material has the tactility of leather but is made from cotton lace. Perfect not only for rugs but for bags too! The textural braids are covered with a shiny color coating gives the bags a glamorous look. Best regards Grit
