By Aurora Elisa Deiri
“I love San Antonio. This city is so large and it gives me the opportunity to work in different areas of real estate, all over, with everything from classic to very modern properties. Some older properties just need a little work to be fantastic again,” Rosalinda remarked.

“I really enjoy helping people to find what they’re looking for in residential properties, as investments or in their search for the perfect home. In the future, I may venture into commercial real estate as well. I only wish I had started in this business sooner, because I love it!”
As a bilingual, professional realtor, Rosalinda Risso can assist you to find your dream property. Let her know whatever you’re looking for and she will get right to work, searching the city for you.
As fascinating as she is beautiful, Rosalinda Risso was born in Mexico and lived there for most of her life. She found early success as an actress in a film shot on location in Los Angeles, where she was studying, then went on to become a very well known singer and actress in 15 films from 1989-2002.
Midway through her career, Rosalinda returned to LA to play the part of a Latina journalist named Leticia in the film “Open Fire,” starring David Carradine. “After that,” she said,” I went back to Mexico and did a lot of movies. I was busy recording with Sony Music and many famous singers.”
Rosalinda gave all of that up in order to keep her family safe, moving to San Antonio in 2001, explaining, “I’m a mother, too, with only one son. We couldn’t let anything happen to him. He’s the most important thing in my life and I’m very proud of him. He’s 28 now and is planning on returning from working in Puerto Rico in about a year. I’m single right now, and happier than ever. I love to travel whenever my work permits it; I’ve been all over the world, but there’s so much beauty in Mexico that I have yet to explore. There’s different food in different regions and I can’t wait to go back for a long visit.”
Rosalinda said she wants to keep on singing, doing plays and musical theater or concerts, because that’s who she is. Her mother, Rosalía Dominguez Mazzotti, was her strongest influence. “She was always helping me to look good on stage and she taught me how to be a strong woman, no matter what. My father was Salvador Angel Risso, a well known promoter for music and entertainment. I grew up with that, so it was natural for me to study acting and music. I started out singing pop music and ended up performing with mariachis, here and in Mexico, competing in festivals and contests. I really love it. When something good is in front of me, I don’t hesitate; I always follow my dreams.”
Indulge yourself in the sights and sounds of San Antonio at Hotel Valencia’s elegant restaurant and bar. Highly recommended are the beef empanadas and authentic paella. Sounds of flamenco guitar only add to the ambiance, and the views of the Riverwalk are just outside on the veranda.
