Formado em São Paulo, Brasil, no ano 2000, o Grupo Contrafilé é um coletivo de produção de arte e educação que tem como foco encontros com diferentes pessoas, grupos e comunidades, sempre sob uma perspectiva cartográfica, tendo a escuta e a performatização de afetos e urgências como matéria principal de trabalho. O grupo participou de diversas mostras, tais como: Meta Arquivo 1964-1985 – Espaço de Escuta e Leitura de Histórias da Ditadura (Memorial da Resistência e Sesc, 2019), Talking to Action – Art, Pedagogy and Activism in the Americas (EUA, localidades diversas, 2017-2019), Playgrounds 2016 (MASP), 31ª Bienal de Arte de São Paulo (2014), Radical Education (Eslovênia, 2008) e Collective Creativity (Alemanha, 2005). // Contrafilé is an art-politics-education production group that focuses on encounters with different people, groups, and communities, always from a cartographic perspective that has as its main working material the listening and the performatization of affections and urgencies. For ten years, Fátima Freire, daughter of Paulo Freire and guardian of his legacy, accompanied the group as political-pedagogical advisor. The group has participated in several exhibitions, such as: Meta Archive 1964-1985 - Space for Listening and Reading Stories of the Dictatorship (Resistance Memorial and Sesc, 2019), Talking to Action - Art, Pedagogy and Activism in the Americas (USA, various locations, 2017-2019), Playgrounds 2016 (MASP), 31st São Paulo Art Biennial (2014), Radical Education (Slovenia, 2008) and Collective Creativity (Germany, 2005). Currently, the Group is developing the School of Testimonies project.
