AKÉ

La zona arqueológica de Aké es una de las más importantes del norte de Yucatán, actualmente es conocida como “Ruinas de Aké”, por la hacienda San Lorenzo Aké, que se erige sobre los antiguos vestigios mayas. Al igual es reconocida como “La Cholula Yucateca”. Horario: Lunes a domingo de 8:00 a 17:00 hrs. El ultimo acceso será a las 16:00 hrs. Precios: $300 tour guiado

EK BALAM

(Jaguar negro o lucero del jaguar): 300 a.C. Sede del reino de Tah (dueño o señor) que dominaba la zona oriente y las costas. El “GRAN CENTRO CEREMONIAL”, de los edificios más significativos con 5 entradas. La “ACRÓPOLIS” tallado fino de piedras, estuco pintado y conservado desde hace siglos para que usted lo admire; la tumba del rey “Ukit Kan Lel Tok”, descubra sus pertenencias, pendientes de concha y caracol, tributos del mar, collares, cetro y cuchillo de mando; la fachada tiene figura de monstruo con grandes fauces y colmillos y en su parte superior la figura del rey en su trono, con vestimentas reales y su corte. Los pasadizos que conectan sus cuartos, remontan a túneles secretos de castillos de nuestra Edad Media; otra relación con el Medioevo, son las figuras aladas que evocan ángeles. EL JUEGO DE PELOTA, EL PALACIO OVAL, Y LA PLAZA NORTE, en todos predomina el tallado de piedras y estuco moldeado y pintado por el arte maya. Horario: Lunes a domingo de 8:00 a 17:00 hrs. KABAH

LABNÁ

(Casa Vieja): Además de hermosos, aunque poco restaurados edificios como EL PALACIO y EL MIRADOR, centre su atención en el mundialmente famoso ARCO DE LABNÁ, una fachada ornamentada con grecas y columnillas y con otras celosías y chozas mayas; la creación arquitectónica del “arco maya” o “arco falso”, toma magistralmente como inspiración y modelo las chozas mayas. Horario: Lunes a domingo de 8:00 a 17:00 hrs. El ultimo acceso será a las 16:00 hrs. Precios: $55 pesos entrada general Mexicanos con identificación oficial no pagan los domingos.

MAYAPÁN

(Estandarte o bandera de los mayas): Última gran capital regional maya, ahí se concentraron los nobles de la región. La protegía la gran muralla, formada por enormes bloques de piedra. En el centro encuentre la PIRÁMIDE DE KUKULKÁN, imitación a menor escala de la de Chichén Itzá. En el Solsticio de Invierno, Kin (el sol) desciende sobre la escalinata en mágica mezcla de Luz y Sombra. El OBSERVATORIO, con 2 estelas; una representa un guerrero maya y la otra, los meses del año. Los vestigios del TEMPLO DE LOS GUERREROS e infinidad de otros, el CENOTE CHUMUL, ahora seco, surtía de agua a la ciudad. Horario: Lunes a domingo de 8:00 a 17:00 hrs. UXMAL

SAYIL

(Lugar de hormigas): Sus 3 áreas delimitaban la división socioeconómica y religiosa. De sus edificios, destacan EL JUEGO DE PELOTA, y EL MIRADOR, del que rescataron bellísimas estelas en exhibición a la entrada y el PALACIO, que tiene 3 pisos escalonados, cuyos 2 primeros sirven de base y terraza a los cerca de 70 cuartos superiores, en los que desarrollaron nuevos estilos de arquitectura.

XLAPAK

(Pared Vieja): Gema arquitectónica, Puuc es el PALACIO, cuya fachada de trazos muy geométricos, presume un tablero de mosaicos de piedras con grecas, impresionantes mascarones de Chaak adornan esquinas y aparentan desprenderse del techo. Horario: Lunes a domingo de 08:00 a 17:00 hrs. Entrada libre.
