Dordogne
One of the last unspoiled delights of France, the Dordogne Departement of the Aquitaine region, with it's beautiful meandering canals, charming villages, and untouched scenery, is a delight to behold. Renowned for the Lascaux cave paintings, and stunning market towns such as Sarlat and Bergerac, and the many Ch창teaux overlooking the Dordogne River, the area is a visual treat for visitors and residents alike.
Château de Puycharnaud: Within the heart of the Dordogne, hidden by centuries-old forests, lies the spectacular Château de Puycharnaud estate. First constructed in the 16th Century for Jean de La Ramière, a favourite of King Henri IV, the Château was remodeled and
substantially improved by his descendant Jacques, Lord of Puycharnaud in the 1870's, when advisor to the Emperor Napoleon III. Featuring magnificent staircases, high ceilinged reception halls, and some 50
additional rooms including an oak library and exquisite chapel, the Château is evocative of the graceful symmetrical style of the Second French Empire.
