Drawing up Strategic Plans for Overall Sustainable Development on any scale ♦

 A Sustainable Development Strategy is designed and applied in order to ensure that all requirements are covered for all the people in the Strategy Intervention Area (S.I.A.), and subsidiarily for the ecosystem, from the moment when it is implemented until future times.  A Sustainable Development Strategy is the “right response” to certain “imbalances” in the current situation of the S.I.A., and to some future scenarios that are “foreseeable” at the time of drawing up the Plan, in order to anticipate any problems that might arise, (preventing any negative repercussions), or to be able to make the most of any opportunities that might result from such changes.  A Sustainable Development Strategy should constitute a genuine “waybill” that enables the politicians involved to make the correct decisions, having advance knowledge of its possibilities, the actions to be performed, the associated costs, the sources of financing, the timescale for its development, the principal milestones, the indicators, etc.  A Sustainable Development Strategy has to set out the “carrying capacity” of the S.I.A. (quantity and quality of life), whether its own resources are to be used, or whether resources are to be brought in from outside (in this case depending on the “purchasing capacity” of the Plan with the “surplus” resources of the area) Bases generales para la confección de Planes Estratégicos de development Sostenible Integral
