As a Chiavi d’Oro Concierge in Florence, here are a few tips to those visiting the city to help them get the most out of their stay

I was born in Florence in 1971 and have always been a great Fiorentina football club fan. I started working from a young age in several restaurants in downtown Florence, and in 1990 I gained a diploma for hotel personnel. I continued to work as a waiter and this helped me understand guests’ wishes. A er 2000 I did a bar tending course with the internationally recognized A.I.E.B.S. (Italian Barmen Association) and became a bartender. I worked at the Hotel Londra where I broadened my understanding of customers’ psychology, also over a Negroni. From 2005 to 2008 I worked as a night porter at the Gallery Art Hotel, owned by the Ferragamo family. This experience helped me grow a lot. A er three years, I was promoted by the management and became a concierge of the Hotel Lungarno Suites (now Portrait Firenze). In 2011 I was transferred to the Lungarno Hotel. A er working here for seven years, I became a full member of the Les clefs d’or Association. As such, I like to organize bespoke experiences to suit any client’s wishes.
