Fun patch is included with registration. Get Cookie Season ready by attending Cookie University! Girl Scouts will rotate through different hands-on activities that will get them pumped up and ready for the start of the Cookie Program. Girl Scouts will be guided through the rotations by older Girl scout mentors. Parents are encouraged to stay and visit the Parent area to learn how they can support their Girl Scout during the Cookie Season.
Girl Scouts of all ages and across our council are invited to participate in the first STEM Winter Challenge. In this self-paced, girl-led exploratory challenge, all are invited to try their hand at experiments, origami, engineering, kitchen chemistry, moon journaling, coding and more! Visit gs-strong.org/winter22 to learn how your Girl Scout can earn the STEM Winter Challenge fun patch or scan the QR code.

Texas A&M Sea Camp and their Marine Biologists can’t wait to show you what makes sea turtles special! Let’s learn about what makes the Gulf of Mexico such a great habitat and what scientists are doing to protect our endangered sea turtle species.
Your Girl Scout Experience and the College Search: Seniors Virtual Workshop

In this workshop for Girl Scout Seniors and their parents, girls will learn how their Girl Scout experience can make them stronger candidates for college and inform their college search. By the end of the event, Girl Scouts will be well-prepared to complete Steps 1, 2 and 3 of the College Knowledge badge.

What kind of outdoor skills are needed to survive decades ago in our current environment? What kind of outdoor skills did the people of the plains need back then? What skills do you think you have? We will experience hands on activities as we learn from the professionals and put your skills to the test. Fun patch provided.
Swimming 101 Lubbock Grades 3-7 / Ages 8-12 Event Date: January 21 Time: 1-4 p.m. Registration Deadline: January 7 Cost: $75 per Girl Scout CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO & REGISTRATION. Learn basic swimming techniques as you work on becoming comfortable with water. Explore arm strokes and leg kick techniques. Discover your ability on breathing techniques. Learn to float on your back and increase swim distance. Review water safety. Note: Lessons are in an outdoor heated pool. Fun Patch included.
Rubber Band Racers Parents Night Out Amarillo
Event Date: December 17 Time: 6-9 p.m. Registration Deadline: December 3 Cost: $40 per Girl Scout CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO & REGISTRATION. It’s a PARENTS NIGHT OUT with the Snapology Discovery Center! Your Girl Scout will participate in fun and engaging STEM activities that will earn them a Mechanical Engineering Badge! Send them with a water bottle and we will take care of dinner. This is a drop off event. Council needs 4 volunteers to assist with this program. Event Date: January 28 Time: 10-11:30 a.m. Registration Deadline: January 21 Cost: $15 per Girl Scout CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO & REGISTRATION. Learn how to use specialized software to design car parts and then learn how to program a laser to cut it out. Build your 12” car using dovetail techniques and rubber bands, and race to the finish line! Participants will earn their second Automotive Engineering badge. Parents, this is a drop off event.
