SPRING BAY MILL

Privately owned. TOWN: TRAYAPANA/TRIABUNNA, LUTRUWITA/TASMANIA SETTING: The 43ha area offers endless potential for school camps and excursions that are both exhilarating and educational. ACCOMMODATION: 32 lotus belle glamping tents, 4 eco-shacks and 12 pods. CATERING: Full catering can be provided. OTHER INFORMATION: Our indoor and outdoor performance spaces, multimedia facilities, expansive organic gardens and coastal location offer a range of activities. These include but aren’t limited to tree-planting, seed propagation, Indigenous history and bush-foods tours, cooking, science workshops, music and theatre performance and more. We have our own vessel, which means we can take your students exploring along Tassie’s East Coast or on adventures to the stunning historic Maria Island where they can stay for a day or overnight. We also hold regular Open Days so you can check out the facilities.

THE LEA SCOUT CENTRE

Privately owned. TOWN: KINGSTON SETTING: 170ha open bushland. ACCOMMODATION: 86. 9 cabins each accommodating 4-12 people. Linen (charge), bunks, heating. MINIMUM GROUP SIZE: Small groups by arrangement for sole use. CATERING: Catering can be provided upon request. Kitchen facilities available for self catering. INDOOR FACILITIES: Separate dining room, outdoor chapel, data projector, screen, whiteboard, DVD, free Wi-Fi. OUTDOOR FACILITIES: BBQ area, picnic area, oval, campfire area, flying fox, low ropes course, abseiling, laser skirmish (by arrangement). OTHER INFORMATION: Resident caretaker. There are 6 fully self contained cabins which sleep 6 onsite (Hobart Bush Cabins). Bush camping: tent and/or caravan sites available from 1st December to 31st March each year.
